i'm a liverpool fan and couldn't help but notice that Bluetonic put pictures up and called them recent memories, pretty classy move so i think i'll make a classy one to counteract it.

On one of the pictures you showed Anfield and Goodison close by so you could prob walk that, so print that picture use it as a map, find your way to Anfield, pay the 8 quid to get into the museum, go upstairs and when your there those silver things that are there are called trophies. You get them from winning competitions. That normally means being the last side in the competition, just so you know.

So bring your camera, take some pictures then show them to other everton fans, maybe someday ye'll have won some more of ye're own to show off.

As for next week i fancy us in the league and anything could happen in the cup

Everton have an easy win monday night, good old lescott and cahill.

raffa will be too consumed with niff naffing with sir alex ferguson to concentrate on the games coming up and fall into the mind game trap alex specialises in, thus ending their title challenge...........again

    :p

With Everton having such limited striking options available there's going to be one hell of a packed midfield on the pitch.

If Alonso & Arbeloa are both fit I reckon we'll go back to a fairly familiar lineup - something along the lines of:
    .............. Torres/Keane ..............
    Reira .......... Gerrard ........... Kuyt
    ............. Masch .... Xabi ..............
    Aurelio .. Skrtel .. Carra .. Arbeloa
    .................... Reina .....................

Torres has said he's not 100% match fit in recent days so I'd expect to see Keane starting and coming off around the usual point in the game. Would be disappointed to see Kuyt up front again - he's been playing well on the right and imo that's where he should stay for now.

Up front and whether it will be Skrtel/Agger/Hypia playing alongside Carra are the only question marks for sure.

Like yourself Kuyt has to surely be back on the right. Haven't seen Everton much this season(who would want to :p).

But it's Arteta playing in off the left still is it? If it is, Kuyt will be have to keep Areteta quiet and if we can reduce Cahill's involvement I'm confident as one can be going into a local derby.

I reckon Liverpool will take the League game handy enough.
But I fancy Everton for the Cup game.

Fellaini being out is a big blow for Everton, although Moyes probably shouldn't have risked him in the second half on the weekend considering the amount of warnings the ref had given him.
Evertone will really have to rely on Cahill and Arteta to produce something.
Without Yobo Everton don't look anywhere near as solid.

Yeah I think it will funnily enough go that way as well. Bad gut feeling and all that.

ScreechFellaini out for both games is a massive blow. I was at the Liege game and the guy was a one man machine setting up attacks and breaking up our play. My MOTM over both legs in fact.

    BUMP.

Looking for a good reaction from the Pool tonight and quite frankly I think we'll get it. For some reason I can't see anything but a Liverpool win (don't ask me why), with Torres getting another two goals against them.

    ...................Torres..............
    Reira .......... Gerrard ........... Kuyt
    ............. Masch .... Xabi .............
    Aurelio .. Skrtel .. Carra .. Arbeloa
    .................... Reina ...................

Just as an aside, am I the only one that thinks Daniel Agger would make a good full back, got pace, good with the ball at his feet and is well able to beat players.

Liverpool should win this quite easily. But then again, they've staggered here and there. I think 1-1 :)

Could'nt give a hoot about the cup this year. Tonight's game is all that matters and to be perfectly honest i expect nothing but three points to go back top of the table.

Sticking out to be 0-0 i think.
Everton are due a result at Anfield.
Arteta will need to have a big game..

Care to back that up? Liverpool have scored 10 in the last 4, and Everton have scored 7 in the last 4. Doesn't look like either team is in 0-0 form.

Everton have not conceeded in ages.
Liverpool tend to have problems beating teams who defend well.
    Everton have no strikers.
Liverpool depend on 2 players to get them going.

Thats why Im going with a draw

Don't think it'll be scoreless but then again I wouldn't be one bit surprised if it was. Going with a home win.

    Some useless derby stats:
There's only been the one 0-0 between Rafa/Moyes in the league to date

Might be worth starting with Keane after all - he's apparently scored more goals against Everton under Moyes than any other PL player (6 - including a HT).

Everton haven't won the 'return' derby since 88 and haven't won the same at Anfield since 86.

Hasn't been a HT in a derby since Rush in 82 and Liverpool haven't conceded one at Anfield since '35.

22 sendings off to date - most recent at Goodison being Cahill while most recent at Anfield was Gerrard 2 or 3 years back. However Gerrard & Neville are the only 2 players to have been sent off twice in derbys.

    Those stats from: http://www.evertonfc.com/match/report/0809/34202/liverpool-v-everton.html?t=1
(popped up on newsnow a couple of days ago).

Everton have no attackers - likely to sit back. Pool have struggled when teams have done this.

Think it's more a case of struggling against teams that have largely park the bus and I certainly don't expect Everton to do that - there's that bit more to play for here than 1 or 3 points. I'd love an open game tonight.

Torres should be back so even if it is wedged at the back hopefully he'll find his way through

Stats are mean nothing in Derbys

That's why I referred to them as useless derby stats. They're somewhat interesting but largely meaningless

He must not be as we are one of the form sides
Tim has been playing excellent up front on his own in the past few games,
Hope he starts up front but i think DM will bring in Vic to play up front and Timn in the midfield.

Don't be too surprised if we see Yobo back (he's back training) in CD with Jagielka in the holding role.

Yes knowing Moyes he will bring him back..If so like you said holding role.
Need to keep Jags on Torres if he starts IMO.
    Dont trust anyone else
