    Tob-Ler-One

None of this Acgh'lads, I've goot me a tobeleroneh

    [ˈtəubləːˌrəun]

What's this Scottish mumbo jumbo all about? The proper way to pronounce Toblerone is Toe-eh-buh-leh-roe-inn.

No. Is that seriously supposed to excuse the assumption that everyone who posts here is from Dublin?
Ah but it's the most important

Please, allow me to express my deepest, most heartfelt apologies at not writing an extra 2 letters in my post.
I assure you that this will not happen again , and I would like to express sincere regret at having caused any offence.

Maybe we should take on board our country cousin's sensitivities with regards to their not coming from Dublin and henceforth refer to dublin as "city" rather than "town". Given that dublin is the only city on this island, not only will this avoid any confusion but will also ensure that the spud gobblers beloved chip's remain firmly embedded on their shoulder.

Or maybe when some smartarse says "town, where?", when Stephen's Green was already mentioned, they could just be ignored.

What town are you talking about in that post?

Only joking of course, I now understand that "town" in the universal phrase for "Dublin" and that pointing it out is only a sign of my backwards "culchie" ways and rabid jealousy for not being from Dublin. Silly me for forgetting the world revolves around "the only city in Ireland." Jesus, that's quite a prestigious honour, allow me to bow my way out of the room to your endless supiorority to us foolish bog-trotters.

Can we get a special warning disclaimer on the bottom of all posts from culchies?
That should fix all the confusion.

Actually it's Dudess' name that's blacked out. I couldn't be arsed adding someone to my ignore list just to get a pic so I googled one from Boards that was posted by SteveC. I could have left it uncensored since Dudess is from Cork though. :pac:

I think I might steal this as my sig, pure quality Ashley Nutritious Flag

It was obvious in this thread but it goes too far.

I remember some post here about a pub call Whelans going on fire and of course everyone knew where that was........
And that thread ended up like this one

Or the usual posts over in Wicklow forum, "I'm in Greystones, when is the bus into town?"

Q: How do you know a culchie?
A: They call the centre of Dublin, the "city centre", you know like all the signs and your council do. The "corpo" as the Dubs call it if that even exists anymore

There doesn't have to be an issue! I'm not from Dublin - but I knew where the OP was talking about.

    If you didn't then you're a real culchie. ;)
