OP, you do realise you're hugely generalising, don't you?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 62 ✭✭GrayD

    To OP,

Didn't read the entire 12 pages, apologies, but...

Thats fine if you think that off all Irish guys but ya know theres a lot of guys out there who aren't remotely like this but you Irish girls won't give a chance...

Some of us do look after ourselves and we do treat people who deserve it with respect yet the amount of difference it makes to any of ye makes it harder and harder to keep up. Nonetheless... I know I'm the better guy for it even if ye want to put me down.

Not know how to treat a lady right? - NOT TRUE , ALOT OF WOMEN JUST HAVE ASSHOLE SYNDROME

Why when they get to age of about 24 they start to get beer bellies and not take care of themselves like foreign men? - MOTABILISM AND THE SAME CAN BE SAID FOR ALOT OF WOMEN.

Why do they get Loud and drink way to much?- SURE THE WOMEN ARE AS BAD IF NOT WORST

Why do they show respect more to foreign women then they do to their own? BECAUSE THEY ARE GENERALLY NOT AS STUCK UP THERE OWN ASS

We do, you just havent met the right one yet
Why when they get to age of about 24 they start to get beer bellies and not take care of themselves like foreign men?
Yeah I have noticed this, but then again dont tar us all with the same brush
Why do they get Loud and drink way to much?
Why cant we have fun? Why do women act like eejits when they are out?
Why do they show respect more to foreign women then they do to their own?
Because Irish women are so far up their own arses, and because foreign women know a good man when they see one! Oh and Irish women dont have a clue what they are looking for until its too late

    Hope that helps

I will reply in the same format

Not know how to treat a lady right?
Ask my other half. She will tell you that 9 times out of ten I treat her perfectly the way SHE wants not the way society expectes women to be treated and the 1 out of ten times I might tell her to "shut your fvcking mouth you fvcking bint, I will do it later now FVCK OFF!!! :D

Why when they get to age of about 24 they start to get beer bellies and not take care of themselves like foreign men?
I hardly think that using a racial steortype is a supportive way to get your point across. Maybe its because they were poor by our standards, OH wait thats more racial stereotyping. Who knows, maybe because we Irish men were allowed sink into a cycle like that. Im overweight-ish, I go to the gym I eat as healthy as often and gorge once and a while but at least I have a partner who loves me. :D

Why do they get Loud and drink way to much?
Who are they are where do "THEY" socialise. I do not drink very often and when I drink I become even more talkative. Thats about it. Oh I smoke when Im drinking.

There was some question about treating Eastern Europeans differently.

I was in Eastern Europe a few months back and the girls over there are just girls. They are not all blonde and thin and stealing men like women here perceive. Stop being so jealous of the eastern europeans, its as easy as that. If you talk to an Eastern european other than barking an order at them in a deli or restaurant then you will find that maybe JUST MAYBE they are nice and probably nicer than you or your friends.

I would like to add that althought women bitch about men and men bitch about women its about finding the one person that can suffer you and likewise with them. Its not about finding somebody and telling yourself I will have him/her changed soon. Its about moving in together and getting used to one another. Little things like the day you move in and you start your cutlery drawer from left to right and they start it from right to left and straight away you have a fight and come onto the internet and tell the world that he is an obnoxious pig and ALL MEN ARE THE SAME. Its about a lot of things but only each couple in their infancy knows what they want from the other.

Clearly the OP ( who is long gone ) has not found the right person to suffer her Quirkes and obviously wants somebody who will treat her like her and be fit like an eastern european man.

Who knows what the OP wants out of a man or life but coming on her with your bucket of tar will sort none of your misgivings.

    *Sigh

    Really  wow nasty

Now if that were true then why is all the foreign men who are well into their late twenties and early thirties still looking fine :o
The trick is to get someone who has the gift of chatting you up and making you feel good (which Irish men are famous for) and then having them take care of themselves and you forever. I suggest a half cast. Half Irish half French... :)

hey hun its not about been jealous nor is it to take away from you girls sorry if it came across like that but when some of these guys start dissing on their own i forget my manners somewhat sorry about that :(
Its about the way they keep putting Irish girls down here and shouldn't have put any of you down cause i know a lot of you girls are great my friends are from all different places in eastern Europe :)My best friends are ukranian and could not have asked for better gf's if i had prayed for them:o
I think yous have a lot of richness to offer Ireland just a shame that a lot of Irish men dont see that in their own women, you can see for yourself with some of the comments men have made here. They dont need to put down Irish girls just cause they have preference for non Irish girl.
Hope i said that right and didn't come across wrong:)

    where are you from? :)
Sorry you feel like that not nice feeling to think anyone is having about you

Hey, I wasn't offended at all! No need to apologize. You're right, there is a lot of whingeing about Irish women on boards. Fwiw, all the Irish women I've met have been absolutely lovely. And they'd have to have the patience of saints to deal with the Irish dating system lolz. I'm just trying to say that Irish men aren't always interested in foreign women for their personalities, although it isn't too difficult to tell the skunks from the good ones.

    I'm from the States!:D

    There's an irish dating system?

As in every country, there's a dating culture with social norms and mores that are generally applicable.

And its the social norm over here to not really go on dates as such. Or at least not to call them dates.

What else is there to do in most irish cities? Bar the pub.

You want to change the way our dating culture is? Change the way Ireland is first. Close down some of the pubs, open more cafes. Knock down more of the pubs and build parks and concert halls and theatres.

I'm from Pennsylvania, underneath New York. You should go to the States, you'd be rolling in the men! It'd be the same problems at the end of the day, though. :(

I'm an American, it's what we call them. I wouldn't even know what else to refer to it as, except maybe a "dinner thing". Certainly not trying to piss you off.

I'm not pissed off in the slightest. But what I mean is why do we necessarily have to label them? I mean why do you have to call a date a date? It makes it more serious.

Cause there probably married to an irish girl, realised theve made the biggest mistake of their life and know there lifes over.
Why do they get Loud and drink way to much?
To try and forget about their irish wife.

Why do they show respect more to foreign women then they do to their own?
In hope that maybe just maybe some foreign chick that know how to treat a man might rescue them from their irish wife. :)

The reason some irish guys do this is that some women love the laddish way of going on and find it funny or even like the fact the guy does or says what he wants.

Others are offended by it. Like everything with women, it varies.
