Israel and Palestine are at it again, as Gaza has been shelled once more this morning. And it is seeming like we're getting ever closer to one launching a nuclear strike against the other.

So, give your ideas as to when this will happen.

I'm going to say June 15th of this year.

Nuclear strike? Not a chance, they'd wipe themselves out. Too close to each other.

I'd imagine it would be tough for the Palestinians to nuke Israel. They seem to be lacking a nuke.
It would also be futile for the Israelis to nuke Palestine. It's akin to Cork nuking Kerry.

I'd be more worried about India and Pakistan.

Apart from anything else, the Palestinians have no airforce, navy, or nuclear weapons.

They are up there with Chuggers on my list of things I hate about Galway. They are just irritating. I just hope the "food-for-peace" or whatever people come back. They had lovely food and got me interested in.. whatever the hell it was they were talking about.

The Israelis have approx 400 Nukes. The Palestinians have none, and as they don't believe in Santy Clause, aren't likely to have got one recently.

That stuff comes in cans now? Quick send it to the Mod forum. Will be better than the second-hand needles. Maybe then we can do something about the hookers. It's a case of "sloppy-hundreds" now.

Its just as well its only the Israelis who have them. Anyway, as mentioned Parkistan and India are both more likely to scare each other into doing something momumentally stupid.

    Why are they "crackpots"?

Because i spoke to some of them, and they hadn't a clue about the history of the area they were protesting about. They were very selective in what they condemned and what they thought of as legetimate killings.

According to them, the Isralies had no right to be there at all, and didn't want to know about the majority of Palestinians and Israelies being in favour of an Israeli area, Palestinian area and a shared area where all people would be equal.

Its only a matter of time before whats known as a "dirty bomb" will be ignited.
The Americans and the British have admitted, its not a case of "if" - only a case of "when...?"

This is very, very true I suspect and then god help us all.

Its the same rentacrowd jackasses you see at socialist worker rallies, GAAW protests, everything and anything. They rarely have any idea what exactly it is they are protesting against, tired old hangovers from the 70s tbh.

    I'll make a prediction.

The current wave of tit for tat attacks will continue mainstream for the next few days.
Political influence will eventually slow things down (as usual).
Hamas will then in the intervening period gain time to re-arm itself quietly while publicly state they are ceasing fire in order to deal with their casualties and show to the world that they are the ones wishing for peace and gain lost propaganda influence.
To keep the fire stoked as such however, once in a while a missile will be fired.

Within two/three months a suicide bomber will once again explode themselves within a major Israel town, probably the capital. This bomb attack if it don't happen before or on the upcoming election's day in Israel, will give the recurring/new power in Israel to continue more heavily, attacks by air strikes on Gaza.
There will be no ground forces sent in. Only troops to help tighten the border. (The Israelite government know they can't win a ground war) More Israel warships will be deployed off the Gaza coast to stop any weapons of the missile type getting continuously in.

Its a cycle that will continue to play itself out till eventually a dirty bomb will be supplied to Hamas, in parts or whole. This, they will release upon the Israel capital. When that happens, its game over for the lot of us.

Yes, I've never thought the one state idea was tenable. Can't get on side by side theres two chances of them sharing the same jacks, so to speak.

And it is seeming like we're getting ever closer to one launching a nuclear strike against the other.

That would be Israel. The country that has 100's of nuclear weapons which it still to this day does will not disclose to the international community.
So, give your ideas as to when this will happen.

It won't. International pressure on Israeli would be immense if they were ever to use their undisclosed, weapons of mass destruction.

Your history is completely off, the Palestinians never wanted to give up any part of there country to European colonists, which is what the Zionists largely were at the time. The Zionists came from Europe demanding a state as the Bible said so for the religious Zionists and for the secular Zionists, it was based on there ancestors living there over a 1000 years ago.

Nowadays, the majority of both sides want 2 states (the leadership for both seem to actively working against this sadly), but it most certainly did not start that way. The Israeli's wanted the entirety of Palestine (it should be noted that the Zionists did agree to the UN partition plan, but when the Palestinians disagreed, they declared a states against the wishes of the majority of the population and grabbed far more land than was alloted under the partition plan, as well as there planned ethnic cleansing of Palestinians (read the Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Illan Pappe for more info on that) and are today actively colonizing the West Bank) and the Palestinians, did not want to give up any of it.

Honestly, what does anyone expect, people coming from another country and demanding a country tends to lead to violence. Also, no group of people on this planet would have given into the demands like the Zionists made against Palestinians.
