AIRPLANE! Surely you were watching it?

(Leaving an opening for an obvious reference)

i think watching a movie like ghost was a bad idea for you, you should have watched airplane.yeah its gay if you watch it on your own or a night in with the mates, not with the girlfriend, then you can love it.

I am not sure I follow.

Rocky beating Drago on Christmas day was gay?

Bruce Willis saving the Nakatomi building was gay?

    The Goonies are gay?

    River Phoenix died for nothing?

    Bruce Lee died for nothing?

    Jesus died for nothing?

Just so I am straight on this.........

......you are calling Jesus a poof?.....on his fcuking birthday?....

    ............that is pretty bold....

    .....I am a little aroused.
Rambo was pretty gay - bulging muscles cloaked in oiled skin... ghey.
Magnum PI was super gay - I don't even need to go into the details.

I hated Ghost the first time I saw it when I was bout 13 and I hate it now.

King Kong is also rubbish but I watched that instead.

So to answer your question, I don't know if it's gay, but I don't understand your taste in films.

Ah, I think Ghost is great. Of the four colossal-grossing sappy girlie movies from the late 80s/early 90s, it's by far the best (in my opinion). The other three were Dirty Dancing (not bad, if just for the dancing which is great), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (haven't seen it - presume it's appalling) and Pretty Woman (an atrocity).

Hate Dirty Dancing (cue shocked gasps from girls everywhere), only saw a bit of Robin Hood, which I hated, and only saw Pretty Woman recently, which I hated.

I'm not a Patrick Swayze fan (cue even louder gasps from girls everywhere) so he can't even save Ghost and Dirty Dancing for me.

Men in Tights is the one with the Aerosmith song right? I haven't seen it in years so I can't say whether I like it or not.

Never heard of the other ones, although a quick google suggests that I should watch it.

Now lads, cop on to yourselves.

The question was "Is liking the film Ghost gay". Believe me it is.

I don't care in what other really cool movies your man who I never liked anyway starred. I don't care how hot Demi Moore in this movie is, and yes, she is actually extremely hot in that movie. What I do care about (in the context of the OPs question) is that the film is a crappy 80's chicflic with a ludicrous-romantic story. And yes, I've seen it (obviously) and no I wouldn't see it again unless they stripped it down to just the scenes where Demi Moore acts extremely hot.

If you wholeheartedly liked it you might have more in common with your date than you thought you'd have....:D

Something I've always wondered: why all the praise for Demi Moore's "hotness" in it when she looked like this? http://www.homevideos.com/freezeframes2/ghost37.jpeg

Don't get me wrong, I think she's looked extremely hot in other films... but in Ghost specifically, she always struck me as... plain.

    Definately ghey.

She looks like a teenage boy in it.

There's a lot better films out there to have on stand by if you wanna get jiggy with a girl.

Rocky III for example: There's no gheyness in this montage. Especially not at the end. No way. :D

Seriously, why is the world so full of men who cannot admit to maybe liking a film or a song or an artist that would be a little too 'female.' I don't get it. Ghost, good film; not great; but man or woman can equally appreciate or dislike it. With this attitude, men are missing out on a lot and not being natural with themselves. If I like a film, it is because I LIKE IT; not because it's OK to like it or trendy or proper etc.

Two other examples are Brokeback Mountain and say, Pretty Woman. Both very different and both great films.

Are men gay to enjoy these types of film? That's so ridiculous. No, they aren't gay or anything else; they are just HUMAN and as a human, enjoying entertainment; regardless
of what sex they are or what sexual preference they choose!

    Ghost is a chick flick.

So is Pretty Woman- I havent seen Brokeback Mountain.

Leslie Nielson and Priscilla Presley parodied the sex scene - the potters wheel scene and did thev whole thing far better in Naked Gun 2 1/2.

Ghost is well Ghey - its a chick flick as is Mamma Mia.

It's a freaking love story about two heterosexual people. What's gay about it?

The film Love Story is another very very good film that most men cannot seem to 'want' to watch or enjoy.

This attitude is NOT real and IMO it simply shows a very closed mind and a mind that won't allow itself to explore. Strange indeed!

Here's a film I'm sure all like; Stand By Me. Having watched it recently; I think it's is very camp to say the least and a bit OTT and not REAL.
I love the film; but don't think the friendship between Jordy and Chris is
very accurate. They are simply too pally and girly and lovey dovey for
young adolescent boys. They overplayed the scenes with them being 'close.'

And IMO, the best example of a TV series that I really think is more directed at
MEN is SATC. I mean, most fellas won't even give this a chance because they
think it's about women and make up and bags etc. It's about bloody men
being men and doing sh1t to women that pisses the women off and gets them
all high and excited. Oh, and it's also a great comedy

To me Patrick Swayze will always be Jim Cunningham, the LOVE/FEAR guru from Donnie Darko.....the dirty fecker:p
