Ok, the last thread about 2008 took off and is getting pretty negative, not helped by me.
So if 2008 was a bad year for you, what do you hope to get out of or achieve in 2009?

The Dublin Wax Museum will reopen and I'll finally be able to get back into the dating scene as a result!

    Howzat ?

You date waxworks ? You model there ? Or you find people who visit there very attractive / desperate ?

I didn't know it had closed down.

/OT ... In 2009 I will be hoping to embrace my fear of frying and learn to love bac-on.

2008 was by far the worst year of my life.

All I want for 2009 is health and a little happiness.

 You like the lack of personality by chance?

I hope for good weather, a move to Dublin combined with finding a decent job (could be a big ask), to forget about this year's woes, start spending some of that SSIA money again on holidays further afield and to get back into doing all the cool things I've stopped doing in recent months.

Sheesh guys... it's nothing weird or anything... It's just a good place to go on a date. Won't be the same without the furry tunnels of course.

I hope the local McDonalds start hiring and that nobody remembers my birthday.

Either way it'll probably be a great year.

Don't think so. I always had to supply my own anyway.

    Explain how that works... :P

I am hoping for a job of some sort. Hopefully something that will match my skill set. At this point I don't care who I work or what I work at, I just want a job :(

    A job. Simple as.

A ride would also be nice. The internet is running out of fresh porn at an alarming rate

If a girl was freaked out by the idea of crawling through a furry tunnel with you in the dark, then you'd know right away that she wasn't the one for you.

Great for cutting out the time wasters.

Clever. If a girl's idea of a good time is some foostering around in the furry tunnel with you ... she's a keeper.
Especially if the monkey horde also approve.

The dark backdrop and ambience is a plus as well.

    Why stop at one?

What I don't get is how people need to wait for the new year to try to make a change. If your life was that bad then you would have made the change as soon as possible.

Open a fake Wax Museum and take monkeyfudge for every penny he's got.

    @monkeyfudge - disregard.

You could use the real Pat Kenny instead of a wax dummy.... wouldn't be as realistic as the wax dummy though.

To be cancer free (as this year to date, as far as I know) and to have a healthy baby (and for my husband and I and our familes to be healthy). To continue being happily married. That my family are healthy and happy and that my brother settles down with the lovely girl he is now dating. I know that I am hoping for a lot, but you have to dream.
