Was a scrappy fight in fairness. Nothing like collins-benn or whatevr they compared it to. it was a bit of a brawl which can be interesting to watch but imo a bit novice like for a world title fight. Didnt like Frochs jab just like i dont like a lot of calzaghes techniques, thats not to say it wont prove succesful in many fights to come.
    Isnt Taylor the immediate mandatory?

You're right about one thing, it was nothing like either Collins-Benn. They were very ordinary fights !! The only satisfying thing about either is that I always reckoned Collins would beat Benn and although Nigel was past it, I still maintain Collins always had the right style to beat him anytime.

You must have hated Hagler/Hearns then ?

Some people must have foggy memories because both Collins v Benn fights were terrible. The Collins v Eubank, Eubank v Benn, Eubank v Watson, Benn v Watson and Benn v McClellan fights are the great ones from the 90's. Eubank's fights with Carl Thompson were really good aswell.

I didn't get to see all of the fight and I was slightly intoxicated but it did look a very good fight to me and was full of excitement. Definitely something that could have caught the (British)public's attention on ITV1.

"Joe Calzaghe doesn't knock anybody out lately - he slaps for 12 rounds, and against both of his last two opponents he got decked in the first round"

I wonder will that tempt Calzaghe to fight on. While i've little doubt Calzaghe would beat him on points, Froch is right in that if Pascal coluldn't knock out Froch with some of the bombs he landed there is no way Calzaghe would be able to do it. If anything were Froch to land one decent punch it would be Calzaghe that would be knocked out. However, Calzaghe would fight at a much higher pace than Froch has ever fought at. His punch output is phenomenal. So unless Froch did manage to catch Calzaghe early on there would only be one winner, Calzaghe.
