It's IMMENSLY stronger then trips / mushrooms if done the correct way. It's not even comparable.

For instance if you did infact smoke 40x extract properly you wouldn't have been able to leave the toilet or be in any way coherant for the next 10 minutes.

Not a lot of knowledge on salvia here i see!
If done right you'll know it's done right. As for the comments about no one enjoying it, anyone I know that's taken it has enjoyed it!
Although it's not a party drug, but it's worth experiencing once or twice.

I wish the head shops in ireland had proper staff that know what they're talking about and could give you advice. The staff in the shope in Amsterdam are great, the ones in ireland are rubbish.

I think it was x40, maybe 25 the strongest one they had at the time. I split the contents of the vile between me and a friend. I held it in for as long as I could, I do hold in smoke for a long time anyway it's a habit I picked up from smoking weed.

As far as I'm concerned its a mickey mouse drug for collage students that want to be adventurous (but not to adventurous).

I strongly disagree...

The fact that you split he contents of a vial of 40x extract (or even 25x) with a friend and think this makes me think something isn't right.

Poor quality extract perhaps?

Also, remember that there seems to be a "reverse tolderance" effect, with many users finding it diffuiult to get strong effects for the first few times.

I'm pissed because it's a rip off. All I got was pins and needles all over my body, a slight problem with balance and very mild hallucinations (as in colour changes).

Salvia is not a psychedelic, it is a kappa-opiod agonist (nothing to do with opiates).

You won't get much from the visual side of things. It's more of a mindfúck type of thing.
If you're just looking for trippy visuals and if you try and fight the trip you will be dissappointed.

It's substantially stronger than any other hallucinogen I've taken even though the effects only last for a few minutes (thank f*ck some might say). TBH the first time I did it I was amazed that it was still legal (not saying that it shouldn't be here BTW)
Why you'd take it at a work party is really beyond me...it's certainly not a social drug in the way alcohol, Es or coke might be...it's a "few mates sitting in the house" type of drug. I'd go as far as to say that taking it in a public place like that is downright stupid, since you loose control of your mind for a brief period.

Salvia is natural, although the extract is treated to concentrate it.
Hell of a lot more natural than any mass produced lager/beer/stout.
Alcohol is a bodily poison BTW and causes much more damage to you than nearly any other drug, especially when abused or over-used.

BTW salvia is technically an entheogen, not an hallucinogen. It's been in use for a lot longer than LSD and probably alcohol.
I expect harney to have it banned in the new year...if she doesn't get thrown to the wolves over her hair do by then.

Salvia more changes your perception than your vision (can't really explain it).

Everything will become "angular" and you'll feel forces and stuff and it'll be kinda like that ad. But still, despite all this it's not really very visual.

For me everything seemed vastly different, my perception of the 3d world was drastically altered. But things didn't really "look" that different when i thought about it. I just kinda percieved them as different. again, really hard to explain..... maybe it was different for you.

Salvia is the only drug I have ever tried. I was reading about how it effects the users perception and couldnt belive that anything could possibly have that strong an effect on the mind and still be legal.

So I smokes about a fifth of a vile one evening a few christmass ago. Not a plesent exsperiance. At first I got tunnell vision next I thought I was spongebob squarepants the next I belived that I could see the interdemensinal membranes and interact with them. I then spent the next few minutes wrigiling around on the floor and knocked a Christmass tree over myself.

I think the story about the guy smoking it at the christmass party is BS. There is no way I would smoke salvia and try to have to interact with real people.

Its a great laugh when you get to do it right - I was amazed the first time I tried it at how powerful it was. I suppose like many things purchased in headshops, only the stupid people underestimate the effects they will have.

I'm sorry but if you've smoked salvia and didn't get much off it/were able to think/act normally, then you did it wrong. I tried it before and christ, The whole world split into vertical lines and then went rushing back past my face. It was like I was in a realistic version of Tron for 5 minutes, laughing my ass off.

Then again, before that I had done it once or twice with no decent effects.

Doubt I'd ever really do it again though.
