    What irritates me more about all of this is that men do not experience the kind of pressure that women do. It's like they can sit on their asses and judge us by our figures, our prettiness etc.

    Em - hello. We're human beings here and not just on the earth for you to oogle. It's very annoying. And I find the attitude of some men appaling.

    Last week in town, I walked pass a group of lads who then stayed behind me for five mins or so.. One said he'd have a go of me (wow, im so grateful), one disagreed and said something about my fat arse. Then there was a debate with regards to how pretty my face was, were my tits big enough. Like for f*ck sake. None of my friends nor myself would EVER talk about a man like that and be so objective re his appearance. I know this is an extreme example but I don't think women expect as much from men appearance wise than men do of women. And for the record, I am between a size 10-12, I have boobs and an ass. I am certainly not a BBW!:rolleyes:

    They're certainly not fat but not scrawny, just a nice in-between shape. Different cultures have different perceptions of desired shape/size/weight, just compare the asia with the americas.

    Anorexic thin is not attractive.

    shows how low the Late Late show sunk though doesn't it. Never watch it now, but i remember 20 years ago as a kid it being on automatically the tv of choice on a Friday night. In those days it was a different animal altogether, abortion, contraception, abuse, randy bishops, and lots more.

    It seems like its trying to be more like the Jonathan Ross show, but pretending its not. Maybe in this day and age there just isn't anything that shocks or people don't want to watch the serious type issues discussed.

    They're more than content to watch dross like "i'm not really a celebrity but i'm pissing about in the jungle for a few weeks to flog my latest book/single and maybe relaunch my flagging career and get a spot beside Kerry in an Iceland Ad"

    I don't think taste comes into it. They're nowhere near approaching fat, so calling them fat isn't a matter of taste, it's a matter of being out of touch with reality. Hell, I'd take a "They're ugly" without so much of a blink of an eye, but fat? You got sold some bad drugs mate.

    Only one person was causing the "knicker twisting" - and that was Ass Face who insulted women that size by branding them awful names when they're not even fat (and then he resorted to obvious trolling). If he personally finds them too big to be attractive, that's fine. No need for insults though. Perfectly reasonable thing to object to.
