They are 2 days away from having a forum member on the Real world on MTV.

They have regular forum members who bang chicks and post up videos

They found out a forum member did gay porn and mass emailed his dad the link

A forum member found out his gf was cheating they all proceeded to ruin her life (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6W3H8_v52E skip to 2.12mins)

A forum member was going out with another forum member, had a fight she keyed his car the forum member proceeded to post up pics of her with his jizz on her face and proceeded to get her fired from her job

and now this

He's an idiot for committing suicide anyway. The majority of people who commit suicide are self centered, attention seeking gob****es. Only a tiny amount of people who commit suicide genuinely have nothing left to live for.

That's a charming attitude to have. Maybe he wouldn't have committed suicide if somebody on that forum had advised him to seek help (not that it was their responsibility, but they involved themselves in this mess when they egged him on), instead off telling him to 'fcuk off and die', or whatever they said to him.

And by the way finding a suicide victim's corpse is never 'cleaner or easier' no matter what the method is.

That's fair enough, I was more annoyed at galwayguy's remark, tbh.

I know I won't be losing sleep over it either, I just think it's a bit cold to say 'he would have done it anyway'. If he had sought professional help, instead posting on an internet forum which is clearly full of a$$holes then maybe he wouldn't have done it. If the forum members had been more considerate , he might not have done it.

AFAIK ( this is what I've read about it anyway), a person who has suicidal thoughts is never sure that they want to die, that is, there is doubt in their minds right up to the last minute, so who knows? Maybe he wouldn't have done it anyway, if the people on the forum didn't egg him on.

I did say they couldn't be held legally responsible though.

If it was me who egged him on, I know I couldn't sleep at night anyway.

My first re-action was "meh, if he wanted to do it cant do much to stop him" but then I actually read the thread and was left with a pretty sick feeling in my stomach.

3:51am - "I just saw him fapping off his black cawk on cam, looked slightly green...." last post on the thread until

10:04am - Someone posts "Still laying there" With a link to the webcam.
10:24am - Poster suggest he isnt breathing, top not moving
10:31am - Poster Alexnipples(AN for further) says it looks like he isnt breathing

It's about now various posters start realising somethings definitly wrong.

10:58am - AN says he's alerted two mods, sends pm with thread link and webcam link
11:00am - Moderator Roxie replies to AN PM with "He's an attention whore etc etc" Doesnt click on the thread or the wecam I presume, basically ignores it
11:04am - Moderator Sawastea says infro has been sent to Admins(I presume)

11:04am - Roxie posts in the thread "Hes made these threads and deleted them before."
11:05am - AN tells roxie to look at the stream
11:05am - IVEverLow says he might have potential phone no. posts links

11:09am - Moderator roxie replies too AN 11:05am posts with "My apologies, I had no idea he had this live.." clearly ignore info in PM
11:50am - "Are you gonna OD on cock?"
11:53am - Posters 'Bulker' finds his info, puts up OP's phone number and asks someone to call the cops(posters lives in India)
11:56am - One poster says "Can I have his reps if he's dead?"

12:00pm - Antoher posters types "I like his little black ass, its so cute in them little shorts. I've been fapping, its on loop must be?"
12:09pm - 'Bulker' posts the info for the City of miami police department, phone no, address etc. tried emailing them but it failed.

12:32am 'Bulker' rings miami police from India(he couldnt make int. calls from his house so he had to find a phone) and Miami police just gave him a number and told him to ring the local sheriffs dept.
12:47am 'Bulker' urges a poster who typed "I've been watching almost 2 hrs and he has not moved.." to call the police and provides the number

12:55am - 'jjlee138' says he called Brower County sheriffs and they are on it.
13:31pm - first report of the cops being on the scene is posted

Poster 'AlexNipples' has a "banned" under his name now on the forum

Good post there Chunky. I've seen the "people who commit suicide are self centered" rubbish on other forums so it's not just unique to this one. The internet really does lack emotion. It's surreal some of the things you see. There's such a high degree of cynicism and sarcasm and perversion.

Put this in a public context, imagine seeing someone commit suicide right before you , in person. Would people really be egging that person on "c'mon, hang yourself , cmon you useless piece of shit". I don't know if you could say the internet causes x,y or z. It sure does amplify some more disturbing realities though

Seems people can just act the hard man behind a screen, thinking they're really tough and so cool because ''like, they don't care''. I've seen this type of attitude on the internet in general, in relation to other topics, not just suicide.

Makes you wonder about the state of the world, it really does. Are people that desensitized that watching somebody die on their screens has no effect on them?

Whatever I think about the moral implications, I can't see it being illegal to say to someone "yeah go on, kill yourself". Although, if it were a murder then it would be a more clearer black/white issue.

It's an offence to assist someone to commit suicide by, for example, providing them with poison, and the law on being an accessory is that even verbal encouragement is sufficient. For example, if someone assaulted another person while his mates egged him on, the mates could be just as liable as the person. So they could be charged with such an offence.

Now don't get me wrong here , but I do disagree , but then all suicides are different and have different reasons behind them.
I knew a guy many years ago that had split from his wife .
He had access to the children and a very good job.
Everyone thought he was coping well with it.
Anyhow , 3 years after the split he took his kids on the greatest holiday of their lives to DisneyLand in Orlando.
They had an awesome time ( his kids words ).
They came home and he dropped them back to their mam, and a few weeks later he lay down on a railway track and waited for the train.
Now this guy was seen by people who knew him sitting on a bench at the platform a couple of times but paid no heed , thinking he was waiting on a train and so went on with their lives( and why shouldn't they ).
Turns out he was waiting on the express trains to work out where to lie.
He is dead now , you could even say the train caught him , but he wasn't a Drama Queen,far from it .
He was a good dad who couldn't hack living without his
kids and for him to do what he did his mind must have
been an awful thing to live with.
So NO , there was no regret on his part he lay down on those tracks and waited for the train , and he must have felt the vibrations as well as hearing it, and he didn't get up.ever again.

Many jump suicides usually have broken bones, torn limbs etc. Because even as they are falling they try to hang on. There seems to be an automatic instinct to try and stay alive.

There are ways to kill yourself extremely efficently if you wish to do so - search for "jerry hunt video".

People have been commiting suicide for centuries. It's nothing new. Crowds used to flock by their 1000's to watch public hangings or executions, or to see scornful women stoned.

There's some phenomenom with crowds when they see someoen on a ledge threatening to jump to their death, someone will shout out something like "go on, jump!" and then others in the crowd may join in.
