shes hot but not that great draupnir

Again, it's all down to personal taste. I think Cheryl is utterly astounding looking.

Yes, but I'm wondering why that's their taste in this instance - what's the appeal? Etc.

Oh no, not blaming you. That was just an aside.

You're not being very generous - in terms of lbs allowed or years. :)

    I like your taste... :)

It does seem very suspicious after last weekend's show - especially with Diana shouting her head off during the previous week - but I don't like the girl anyway.. her voice just grates on me and the hand movements are just distracting.

All that said though, I still prefer her to Rachel - I REALLY can't stand that girl!!!

Oh and SD are back eh? Come on.. who else thought that it was a bit creepy how "close" they are??!! :D

I think if they are imaginative with her she could do a great job of something like Pray or that one Babe I'm here again (even tho the lyrics mightnt work well lol). Nver forget would be a good one too.

Eoghan can sing could it be magic again hehehe

    No he cant! :P

I really hope Daniel goes this week, but I can see Ruth bein in the B2 again regardless of how good she may be

I just hope she doesnt get voted off from losing votes to sympathy votes for daniel

If Alexandra loses a spot in the final to JLS and/or Eoghan, ill be well pissed
Thats why the judges are so annoyin this year

    they make everything too personal

Like, they all loved Laura at the start, so didnt comment on the horrible screech she let out week 1, her diction, or her timing, which are both pretty pants

I still think its crazy that Simon and Louis think Eoghan or JLS will win

Do they really think that or do they just want to beef up the drama and bitch fighting with each other that we all tune in to see!

Well if they think that they're idiots cos the drama is what makes people less likely to tune in

Team Lorenzo sent an e-mail to her fans saying she is performing one of the best songs of the 90s. It would have to obviously belong to a british act given the theme for this week. Disappointed Dannii wouldn't go with an 80s song because there are plenty of songs from that decade that would suit Ruth right down to the ground. Imagine if she sang Total Eclipse!

I hope Diana doesn't do the easy thing and sing a song which Mark Owen did the lead vocal for.
I reckon Eoghan will be the one to do this, and I predict "Babe"

Can't see anyone singing Take That given they have their own theme week coming up soon.

Absolutely stunning looking girl. My OH doesnt think she is but i cant understand it! He prefers Dannii Minogue. Who some weeks look better than others but Cheryl is consistently beautiful. She went back to the hubby after he cheated, i'm amazed at that. Theres no hope for the rest of us if shes getting cheated on :p

I think she is mesmerizing and i even find myself buying magazines which i dont normally do, just because shes on the cover. I cant take me bleeding eyes off her and i'm not even a bloke!

She is quite thin though. :(

No one really strikes me as stunning though in the competition, Ruth maybe but. I think shes gorgeous with her hair tied up in the VTs.

They have all scrubbed up well enough after the make over. Did anyone notice how white their teeth all were even from the early days of the competition before the live shows?

Alexandra is attractive alright. Diana is nothing special looks wise. Laura wasnt great either.

Austin looked well after his makeover, big improvement!

Anyway back on topic, looking forward to saturday. OUT with Rachel I say!!!!!

i agree with trinity1 that Ruth looks great with her hair pulled back off her face, i think it makes her look a lot younger. They should do something with her hair in the next show os so as she hasn't really had much of a change except for her dresses.

They all got their teeth whitened two or three weeks ago on harley street..lucky!!

roll on saturday, is it sad i look forward to it every week?? all i do is give out!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

Yeah, they all did promo vids for the company too, so they should get a boom in sales

Agree about Cheryl, lil cracker but a bit too skinny

I cant really comment on Austin cos I'm a guy, but I think he looked stupid in his video clip and week 1. He was like the evil emo spiderman in Spiderman 3 :P

    and he's so small :D

    "ah bless..."

I think Rachel got the worst makeover. She's only 26, but they made her look about 35 from week one. It wasnt til this week when she styled herself she looked her own age

Diana Vickers is still in agony with laryngitis — but will perform tomorrow no matter what.

The 17-year-old X Factor favourite is having trouble even talking but has vowed to take to the stage after missing last week’s live show.

The ITV1 talent hit’s creative director Brian Friedman told TV Biz: “I was with Diana in rehearsals yesterday.

“Her throat still hurts, she couldn’t talk at full volume, she was having trouble swallowing — but she wants to perform. Diana is going to go on stage no matter what this week.”

The teen from Blackburn, Lancs, was back at a doctor in London’s Harley Street yesterday for a throat check.

She missed last week’s show on doctor’s orders, upsetting some viewers as she got a free pass through while Laura White, 21, sang but got the boot.

Her fellow finalists were also sent for check-ups to ensure they were bug-free.

But they passed fit and will join Diana for the Best of British-themed episode.

    God damn it dude.:p

Forgive me for being cynical but I'm guessing she's fine, and this is just a ploy to ensure the votes. Sure she's not the only one at it though, Cowell will pander to the mammy's and little girls by airing Eoghan's "emotional" first meeting with his little sister.

Ah now, there's not a TV exec that wouldn't use that to their advantage. I wouldn't think Eoghan would even have a choice in the matter.

True. I'm just bitter because I know this kind of strategy is going to ensure Eoghan joins Diana in the final.:pac:

Only two get into the final right? If it were three I'd still hold optimism that Ruth could get there (still a tall order up against Alexandra and *shudder*, JLS).

No, its 3 in the final

There's still hope.:D But if Ruth survives this week it will be some feat to get past the next two weeks as these themes are getting increasingly ridiculous.

    Best of British???

Huge list of songs in there...I imagine some of the artists will be singing the same songs :-)

Not a very enticing theme IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Sugar Drunk

I was hoping there would be a britney week :D

at least its a pretty broad theme this week I hope they let Ruth rock something

and of course we will hear about eoghans sister and dianas throat (I used suffer from throat infections myself and to still have no voice after two weeks when you have had anti biotics is unusual?!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,105 ✭✭✭LadyMayBelle

I bet Diana will belt out a song, it'll sound great and the judges will praise her for fighting on considering she had such a hard week... bit of honey and lemon and she'll be flying it:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

I dont get why they dont let them do Rock

Look at David Cook, he was amazin!

me either. You would have loved a show 'rockstar supernova' in Us a rock version of x factor with tommy lee

but in saying that I love the show but hate the fact that the song is chosen in advance so they are fitting the singer to the song (which is usually a ballad or summat) instead of letting the winner win and then fitting a sng to their style
