They def couldnt give her a free pass for two weeks that would be so unfair to the others. Diana always looks so pretty in the intro shots but she seems to insist on styling herself with lips the same colour as her face and messy hair its scary! They have also set a precedence now 'get sick and you will get through to the next round'.

with laura gone who is the bookies favourite to win now? Id love JLS or Alexandra to win.

When they are voting off I think they need to rotate who gets the last vote though or Louis could be smart and vote out who he thinks is most likely to be a threat (assuming his acts not in the sing off).

himself and Cheryl were fairly stroppy with each other! ? he nice and quiet crying ever minute persona from the auditions has gone she has her game face on now

    Are you referring to Diana?

I really cannot understand how anyone could think she's good.

i prefer her to rachel though. If they would just send rachel and daniel home! Honestly if Rachel got into the final I couldnt watch

Diana had taken over Laura as the fav with the bookies over the past few weeks so I imagine she still is fav. AFAIK it goes like

    • Diana
    • Alexandra
    • JLS
    • Eoghan
    • Ruth
    • Rachel
    • Daniel

I see you were going for value!:p:pac:

If we have learned anything from the past few weeks it is that anything is possible. Chris Moyles and Edith Bowan (sp?) both have campaigns to try and get people to vote for Daniel. It seems to be working as Ruth and Rachel seem to have an unstable relationship with the public; they'll vote for them one week, the next they are in the Bottom Two. I think this is now two weeks since Daniel has been in the bottom two.

    Source The Sun
DJ Chris Moyles is throwing his considerable weight behind X Factor’s Daniel Evans — to annoy Simon Cowell.
Radio 1’s Moylesy, 34, urged listeners to vote for Daniel, 38.
And he hopes the pool cleaner survives for another week, to entertain the nation with his bad dancing and ability to infuriate judge Simon, 49.
He said: “Daniel looks like Rick Astley's dad and has no chance of winning and that’s why we all have to vote for him!
“The people at X Factor will hate us doing this. It’s going to be brilliant.”

Interesting short video with John Barrowman. What he says about Laura is what I've always said all along, except he has an actual word for it.:pac:

Don't be so narrow-minded, you know that other people have different tastes to you yes?

I have already said that I have really enjoyed her performances, her gestures with her hand and her overall style really strike a chord with me and obviously with a lot of people. It's my opinion that she has a very distinct singing style and her performances are different to virtually any recording artist in the world today.

People like different types of music, I personally thought Laura was rubbish, she didn't actually pronounce lyrics and couldn't sing anything below full voice to save her life.

It also helps that Diana is hot. I also suspect that this may be part of the reason she annoys you so much.

I sort of liked Diana in audition & bootcamp & judge's house & then I'd had enough of her sound by time live shows started.
IMO Austin being booted off was bigger shock than Laura, I think that was more tactical.
I'm so glad to see that there are a lot of people who though Rachel was off key on Sat night. I've not liked her from beginning & couldn't figure out why the judges were going on about her. Def showed her true colours on Sat. Couldn't believe none of them said anything about her being flat. I started to think that it must just sound different in the studio.

I really like Daniel but he shouldn't still be in the show. I kept expecting him to offer to leave to bring back either Austin or Laura. Does anyone else think he'd make a good TV presenter type?

I also think she's hot, but it doesn't mean I think she can sing. And the way she acts annoys the hell out of me too.

diano hot? u must be takin the piss there buddy. in my class she'd just be average...i did go to the tute tho.

When she does her own makeup shes more quirky and cute than hot. on the intro before they sing where they have made her up she looks stunning. I do like her voice its very unusual I liked the michael jackson song she did.

Daniel is a nice guy but whats driving me mad is the fact that his hair and face are now the same colour the same shade of orange  like seriously whats the story with that he is like a tangoed daniel o donnel

Yeah, where did I say I didn't? I accept other people have different tastes, different opinions. Doesn't mean I have to understand them, doesn't mean I don't have the right to be baffled by them.
her gestures with her hand and her overall style really strike a chord with me and obviously with a lot of people. It's my opinion that she has a very distinct singing style and her performances are different to virtually any recording artist in the world today.
And in my opinion (remember, it's just as valid as yours) her quirks such as the hand movements, the yelping and the ludicrous accent are contrived, irritating and forced.
It also helps that Diana is hot. I also suspect that this may be part of the reason she annoys you so much.
LOL :D suspect away! Because of course any time a female is critical of an attractive (in some peoples' eyes) female, it can only mean jealousy of her looks, even if her looks have zero to do with what's being discussed. Remember, you're the one who has brought looks into this. And by making an accusation like that, you're dissing my opinion and telling me I'm wrong, which you made clear at the start of your post is something you disapprove of (and rightly so).
Funnily enough, I think Diana is extremely unremarkable looking - that's another thing actually which I don't understand about the Diana worshipping, the way her looks are spoken of as if she's on a par with Cheryl Cole. But you think Diana's hot - "I suspect that this may be part of the reason" you like her so much. ;)

So if she wasn't hot, would you still have such a high opinion of her style? Because you've kinda discredited yourself with the "it helps that she's hot" tacked on at the end.

I think Alexandra's far better than Diana. I also think she's far better looking than Diana, so your theory fails...

i defo agree with that. alexandra is hot.

But you see, you said that you cannot understand why people like her. Then you contradict that by saying you understand that people have different tastes. Are you now saying that you cannot understand why people like her, you just don't like her and wish people would vote her off.

I know your opinion is valid and I appreciate where you are coming from, however, since Diana was performing in the same way at her first audition I don't think her style is as contrived as you are making out. Of course, all artists and musicians contrive their style to a degree, Michael Jackson wasn't born doing Moonwalks.

Women just have a tendency to be militant in their opinions about hot, successful blonde (even ginger dyed blondes like Diana) women.

I'm not dissing your opinion, I am saying you are wrong though. But that's how discussion and debate works.

You are right, it helps. Cheryl Cole is far too skinny these days for my liking anyway, it's a shame.

Yes, I would still have such a high opinion of her. I'm a big fan of AC/DC, I do not want to bang Bon Scott (live or dead versions).
    Dudess wrote: »

I would tend to agree with you on both points actually, Alexandra for me is too stage school and she always seems to be acting a role when she is talking to the judges/thanking them etc. For that reason, I feel she is less Member of the Public turned X Factor contestant and is more Stage School Graduate who has plenty of training.

She is very hot though, I'll be very torn if they are both in the final.

I don't see it that way. I appreciate people have different tastes but it's not unreasonable to wonder why about certain tastes.

Sorry but that's a ridiculous generalisation. I agree, SOME women are very jealous of attractive blonde females but not "women" full stop. The jealous women who try to find reasons to bitch about good-looking, successful women do so to make them feel better about themselves. However, in this case, I'm critical of Diana because I think she's sh1t.
I'm not dissing your opinion, I am saying you are wrong though. But that's how discussion and debate works.
Wait a sec... In situations like this there's no right and wrong, there's just opinions/perspectives. It's all pretty much subjective.
Cheryl Cole is far too skinny these days for my liking anyway, it's a shame.
Yeah I agree. She's still very beautiful though, and would be incredible if she put on some weight. (As a side: if I said that on After Hours I'd be accused of being jealous, bitter, probably fat etc :D yet you said the same thing but it's not ok for me to say it because I'm a woman!)

Sorry to wade in, don't want to get too involved, but the other poster can indeed say that you are wrong, because it's his opinion that you're wrong, which supports your above statement.

Anyway, to get back to the topic on hand, it may sound like a conspiracy theory, but maybe they want to get Diana kicked out to concentrate on releasing her as an act without the whole X Factor whiff of failure hanging over her?

Looking forward to seeing the Riddler Rhydian :D

WTF are Same Difference doing on the show?

If Diana is booted out, they should not bring back Laura still would be unfair on the other eliminated contestants

    They have no basis to this but the boys and girls over at Digital Spy reckon this is what the winner will be singing;

If it's true, I wonder which contestant they had in mind when they picked it.:pac:

Very doubtful, previous winners who have sung covers have never used a song released in the UK charts as a single. Evergreen was just an album song for Westlife and A Moment Like This was never released in the UK as a single before Leona did it as far as I know.

I can't be blamed for inherent sexism in modern society when it comes to opinions on members of the same sex now can I!!! By the way, if Cheryl Cole put on 6lbs then you could basically close the book on FHM Hottest Woman competitions for the next 5/6 years in my opinion.

Take That night could be soul destroying stuff or it could be great. I hope we don't see Daniel destroy Back for Good and I hope Diana doesn't do the easy thing and sing a song which Mark Owen did the lead vocal for.

This could be a tough one for Alexandra and Ruth most of all, unless Ruth gets Relight My Fire.
