Grapes out of season ?

    Any grapes I buy down the shops the last few weeks all seem less than fresh and very pale coloured (the red ones). Are they out of season or something??

    There's lots of other options for this time of year:

    apples
    pears
    quinces
    medlars
    cranberries

    You can also get tubs of frozen berries from the supermarket - great in a smoothie or heated up with yoghurt.

    Eating with the seasons is generally cheaper, more nutritious (IMO-not sure if that's fact) and ensures that you get a good variety of different foods and vitamins, etc.
