That doesn't make it any better. I still don't like its implementation.

If it was truly to stick to the Karma ideal, wouldn't you get negative karma points for killing things.
A wandering scavenger attacked me, his name and health bar were even in red and I got bad karma for it?

Anyone know where I can find
the poster of lincon I cleared the building of slavers but the fecking quest marker just drags me back to the union who keep asking for the poster.

Regarding the karma system and the town of Andale
You should be allowed to kill those families and gain karma, then again I guess they are are so gee gosh darn nice that cannibalism is only considered a minor personality flaw in the world.

Cheers you saved the ps3 from getting an almighty Boot.

While im at it can anyone tell me the best route to get to Galaxy news radio I never bothered with it during the main quest and I swear ive gone through every fecking metro tunnel imaginable.

Just completed the main quest, played on hard rather than very hard.

I'm looking forward to playing the side quests, which is a good sign.

I was really drawn into this game, the world is so convincing, definitely recommended.

WORD OF WARNING. Dont take the perk that causes enemies to burst randomly, gore or something its called, its ****, ruins the satisfaction of dismembering an enemy with a head shot etc.

I really want to buy this but I am quite sick at the moment and can't really make it to the shops. I'm pretty tempted to get it off steam but its $60, how does that compare the the PC version in lets say Game or Virgin?

    Really?
    Its one of my favorites.
I was disappointed at the lack of drunken master

    DrunkenMaster.gif
Drunken master: You fight better when you are drunk. You receive 20% to your Unarmed skill while under the influence of alcohol.

What use is my chinese officers sword then if not to mutilate my enemies corpses?

A dismembered limb is earned, not given.

if you kill that tit of a vampire vance, go rooting through his belongings in a locker, you will find a sword called vampires revenge i beleive its called.

its a funky looking sword and does a nice bit of damage in melee. plus it looks cool with my character wearing a red bandana

    * i wouldnt try using it against a mini gun wielding super mutant brute

    Anyone else find Lincon's Repeater?

    Awesome gun.

Dogmeat (a dog NPC I encountered near the scrap yard) and myself took down a mutie with a minigun. I was only armed with a 2x4 with some nails sticking out of it! :D

I'm hooked. Only problem is I keep running outta ammo.

Just found Galaxy Radio. BLoody mutants meant I used about 3/4 of all my ammo.

Likewise, I've a load of guns, just no ammo for most of them.

Odd, I have tons of ammo.

Then again, I compulsively search every container for stuff when I enter a room.

I wasn't expecting to see michael jackson in the game ,he's really looking himself these days.

For the majority of the game i had 2 shotguns and as many shells as i could find and
5.56 ammo and 2 assault rifles, talon company and raiders give you more than enough ammo of both, can take down a super mutant in VATS shot either. Carried no other weapons so i could carry junk to sell for ammo if needed.

Loads of ammo for both in almost every place you visit.

The only time I came close to running out of ammo was when I did the Grayditch quest.

As long as you keep fighting enemies that carry weapons and looting every possible box/shelf, you will be fine.

I've run low on ammo from time to time, but i usually have loads. I've gotten into the habit of just using the hunting rifle, and as there are loads of super mutants about, i rarely run out of ammo. I must have 50+ missiles atm, which are great for the occasional Enclave/Talon patrol.

Great gun, but there is very little ammo for it.

You dont even have to kill him. I just pickpocketed from him, and i only have 30 odd skill points in sneak.

Love some of the dialogue choices for him - "gah, what the **** are you!!?!":p

Top notch game so far anyway, bit annoying that you have to start a new game if you want to enable live support & achievements, but at least my character isn't a total mess this time around...

A few hours in & I'm still enjoying it; though my only complaint was the one sucky aspect of Oblivion (for me) - the stealth. It really does suck something awful with its arbitrary "Hidden / Caution / Danger" approach & can be hard to judge just how "invisible" you are.

Oh and I do wish the world was a little larger.

But don't get me wrong, still enjoying it immensely & is still a 10/10 for me; so out of curiosity, how many people
    Blew up Megaton?

I'm still finding ammo a knob to find and I look everywhere.

Currently carrying round a scoped magnum, chinese assault rifle, hunting rifle, combat shotgun and sniper rifle and never seem to have enough ammo. I don't really like the assault rifle but the ammo is necessary. Even took that perk where it means you find extra ammo.

I think Fallout's biggest achievement is avoiding the cookie cutter characters Oblivion had. The characters often seem very real and force you to make moral decisions.
In the cannibal/inbred town quest I was genuinely stumped as to the right course of action:
On the one hand, these people are just trying to feed their kids. Many people would do the same thing rather than see their children starve.
On the other, they are killing innocent people.
I was confused as to what to do. Paused my game, sat down in the sitting room and worked it out in my head. Eventually decided that too many people would die and killed the adults/
I then had to feel guilty as the kids and old man would probabaly starve given that they lived in the middle of nowhere with only a geriatric to care for them. I felt so bad, I left a shotgun and some cartridges on the floor.

For me, that is why this is such a great game. You actually care about some polygons. God help me if they were eating raiders rather than wastelanders in the basement, then I'd probably still be trying to figure it out.

In that quest I got the
    vampires
to protect Arefu. I let everyone live.

    I was referring to
    Ardale
    where the people are
cannibals and luring people in to kill and eat them
