All you smug tea drinkers... there's caffeine in tea too you know. You should really come over to the dark side.

I start my day with a tall americano.

IT as well, and yeah I have a serious coffee addiction :)

Hi, my name is smallBiscuit and I'm a coffee drinker
I drink (on a work day)
1 espresso when I get up
1 large americano when I arrive in work
    another at lunch time
A 'Breast pump' coffee around 3pm (Made using an AeroPress Coffee Maker - I think they look a bit like breast pumps)
and about another 4 or 5 espresso's when I get home
And I used to drink a lot more!

But about 2 years ago I gave up smoking and just stopped drinking coffee for about 6 months, with no withdrawl (that I could notice since I was really gasping for a smoke)
It also has no effect on me. I tend to drink an espresso just before bed and sleep like a baby

By the way I work in IT

Remember the good old days when tea was good enough for everyone? And so were ham and cheese sandwhiches, now everyone has to be fancy with their stupid coffee names and their feckin panini's....this country has gone to sh*t. :D

I used to order from Starbucks a (deep breath) Venti triple shot caramel machiato but stopped because it was a little to gay

    I like panini's though

Tea all the way at work during the week. I have a coffee machine at home and usually tuck into a couple of illy espressos over the course of the weekend.

Yes and i also work in IT. It's the IT persons crack cocaine. I need it to keep me awake while i talk to stupid people.

    lmao

I worked in IT a long time before coffee got its evil clutches into me. its just that the tea is so sh*te in our job that i started drinking the heavy stuff. I still love a cup of tea but coffee doesnt give me a choice.I'm in the second stage of addiction where you no longer take the drug because it makes you feel good but because you feel bad without it :(

"oh coffeeeee you're the devil, you're leadinnnggg meee astrayy"

I never liked coffee till I went traveling around Europe and got to taste the good stuff. Still can't drink instant.

If ye all like coffee ye should try speed or cocaine, much better buzz up for days and it won't wreck your teeth either.

Also work in IT and can't start a workday without a coffee, and if it's a bad day I drink up to eight lattes with triple shots

Used work in a place that had a Starbucks in the canteen.

I love the smell of coffe but cant drink much caffen as i get heart palpitations ... kinda worrying. So i took up smoking instead lol

The caffeine content in instant coffee is negligible. So, unless you're bringing your French press to work with you, it's more likely the heat of the coffee that's keeping you awake.

Ah now i know you were taking the piss. You could have played that so well, my dear! Run along now to your heroin laced Frappee.

Never touched coffee and tea repulsed me at 7 and has ever since, so tea and coffee free.

I like coffee but I have not had a good cup of coffee in 3 years. I refuse to drink franchise coffee as I am a socialist nutjob and a lot of the smaller places where I bought my coffee are out of business.
So now its 15 cups of tea a day to feed my caffeine addiction:)

    You're wrong Xavi!

That was probably the greatest ever decision Cadburys have ever made. Sometimes, taking something away from a product actually improves it. Like Atomic Kitten. Kerry Katona was the coffee cream of that group.

I work in I.T. BUT I'm allergic to caffine - so I've no concept of what you addicts are all on about :)

A while back I was at the doctor and he was asking about allergies and I mentioned caffine - and he reckoned my heart might be hyper-sensitive to adrenaline based compounds, like caffine, cocaine etc. - fuppin hell, you're all coked off your head on caffine you addicts!!! I wasn't always allergic to caffine (don't know what went wrong) - but was a tea drinker and when I had to give it up - I'd 3 days of crazy headaches - it was withdrawl I tell yas.

There's one where I work in the canteen (same place?) - and the amount of coffee people now drink in shocking - its really a licence to print money. One guy I worked with always had a cup on the go - we counted 6 big cups in his bin one evening.

As an ex-smoking zealot who now hates the ashtray smell, coffee breath is still 20 times worse so for the love of all things decent - have a mint after your coffee - thanks!

But don't worry, I might not drink caffine or smoke anymore, but beer has filled the gap :D

    D.
