I've always liked the smell of coffee, hated the taste until I started working in IT, now I go through half a jar a day easy. If I don't have a coffee or 2 every hour I can feel myself nodding off. Its a worse addiction then smokes...

Anyone else trapped in the coffee death grip?

When i started working i found coffee was my saviour, then i noticed everybody else was nodding off around 11 till 12 then goig for lunch. Now its easier to kip than drink coffee and do work.

Coffee doesn't really have any effect on me, if i drink it it's because i like the taste! I'd love a hazelnut truffle latte right now, or vanilla bean latte.... Mmmm

since starting college I'm basically turning into a cup of coffee. I'm drinking a cup right now, and normally do at the computer.

I'm very particular about it now too, out in Maynooth there'd only be one or two places I'd even get it from. I don't care for yer mochalattastupidnameorama coffee, and keep to the simple ' one white coffee thanks a million' order.

Where I'd be without it?
probably in bed a lot more.

Starting drinking it quite a bit(4-5 cups during working hours) when i started working in tech support. Only drink a maximum of 2 cups a day now. Its good if you need energy to do something brainless or repetitive but if you have to do something that requires actual thinking, its the worse crack in the world. Really hard to maintain concentration on a single thing.

SNAP OP, finished college couple of years ago. Into an IT jobbie and my coffee drinking career begun.

Although I puke my f**king guts up if I drink that ****e in a Jar, Freshly ground or lob it back to YORE MA.

Start with one large cup of filter coffee every morning.

Was pulling a few late nighters recently so I decided to up it to 2 cups a day, with one around 1pm. Now that I've gotten used to it I can't even feel the second cup having any effect, so to get a bit more pep I need to have a 3rd cup now... and down the rabbit hole I go

When it comes to coffee additction....you know your in trouble when you stop using a spoon to dish out the coffee granuals and pour it straight into the cup from the jar

....or what iv found myself doing lately...from a coffee machine...call a regular black coffee and then call an espresso to top it up.

That feeling of a bitter strong coffee thats causes your stomach lining to weep......I luv it luv it luv it luv it luv it!!!!!!!!
