    yes.

    ME.

    A few posts up.....Post No.48....

lol. OP its obvious from reading the posts that you've offended real gay people with this thread. You should've really titled it "Is by brother a SAP" or something instead.

    In my defence....

Gay people shouldn't be offended in this post because for the record my brother happens to be a very sound bloke. . .

    ...for buying a Dell.

Seriously, was this his first time buying a computer? Is he aged over 45? Only excuses.

Dell double charged me a few years ago when I purchased a large monitor.

I called and I called, and I explained and I explained, many times over, that I had been charged twice, however I only made one purchase... and I was staring at my online credit card statement, which clearly indicated I had been charged twice.

And all they would offer is 'We have no record of that', 'We have no record of that' - rinse - repeat, rinse - repeat.

They said to put it in writing, and to include my credit card statement.
I countered with an offer to email them a screenshot, to print it off, I suggested they just take a (fúcking) look at their records - no dice.

My credit card statement wasn't due for nearly a month, and because of this erroneous charge - it was now maxed out, so I needed this charge reversed with the same ease that it had been incorrectly applied.

I asked to speak with a supervisor, someone with a head on their shoulders.

They gave me a different number to call:

Sarah does not answer her phone.
Sarah does not reply to voicemails.

I grew tired of that sh1t, to say the least (It went on for about 10 days), so I opted to call my credit card company.
Surprisingly, they just said 'ok, we'll reverse the second charge', and did just so, without fuss.

Then, Dell's credit department (I'm assuming) mistakenly reversed the original charge.
So then they start called me to say that both charges have been reversed and only one really should have been reversed. (:eek:)

I repeatedly explained to them: 'I have no record of that.' (lather, rinse, repeat) :pac:
    I stopped answering their calls.
I ignored the few voicemails they left me.

I told myself if they just.... put it in writing, I'd pay.
    They didn't.

    Two large monitors ftw, tbh.

Cue the "it's only gay if you take it" comments! :pac:

    hes your brother dude.
if you ran a buisness and the shoe was on the other foot ,
and you made a clerical error
wouldnt you like this done ?
theres still some genuine people left on this earth
    fair play to him.

Truer words never spoken before chief! From experience I'd say the OP's bro realised that someone was going to get in trouble for their error and thus did the right thing. Fair play to him for sure.

Couldn't believe it. Morals or no morals that was a gift from God, he should have considered himself lucky and done the obvious thing of selling it pocketing himself a grand in doing so!

Dress it up whatever way you want, to keep it would have been stealing. Some folk outside the North side tend not to be into that.
Why do people actually think that its ok to give back stuff to faceless multinational organisations. It isn't. We overpay for everything we get from them So has no one thought that its karma that gives the od person something free, and then ye go fukk with karma by giving it back

The size of the company has feck all to do with justifying whether to steal a laptop. You're only over paying if you pay more than the price, no-one forces you to buy from them

Can remember me and my brothers were buying my ma an ipod for xmas. Went into argos, paid up our money and sat in the car while my little brother inside for the wait.

Little brother appears out with a smile a mile wide on his face, wouldnt tell us why and handed over the one ipod. We got home and he was in front of the computer with an ipod sitting there in front of him, i thought he was using the one for the present. Then he says "we got 2 didnt i tell you?"

    Cheeky little git.

He kept it and still uses it, more than out mother uses hers...
