Before the isle of QQ was released, Id estimate that at least 70% of people i knew ingame had bought gold. The 25 dailies has fixed that to a certain extent but I'd imagine a lot of people are still at it.

Its fairly tempting id really like to have an epic mount before wotlk but with college and girlfriend, time is constricted :(

Not sure if were allowed to talk about gold buying, might be in the charter that we cant.

But the last few guilds ive been in have had over 50k gold sitting about with full tabs. And i seriously doubt this was paid for by doing dailys...

I think its seriously possible tbh. Couple of my guildies thrive on making gold had 50k themselves at some point consider wow a experiment on their econonmics course or whatever. So enjoying playing the AH and such.

wrt our guild bank itself no idea what is in it just that it is in this ballpark also but easily obtainable just by selling excess patterns and such.

I know people who have bought or who buy regularly. I have found it not for me but I can see the attraction. I also agree its easier to get buy these days both from the gold available and the changes to raiding consumables.

That is really nice the way you use the word "gay" for negative connotation.

That is really nice the way you use the word "gay" to mean something other than "jovial and merry".

If you hijack a word through the vernacular, heres no guarentee it will be yours forever:P

I felt a bit gay after reading this gay thread ;)

Sure, lets pretend that this was actually the meaning used for that word.

... and for a second i really thought this forum was actually more mature than usual WoW forums...

It is widely recognised that in the lexicon used on-line (and increasingly offline) the word is a pejorative term with no association to homosexuals. Language evolves that's its nature, this protest smacks of the "only queer in the village" tbh.

Ok, good to know that i cant be offended by seeing people using the word gay whenever they want to describe something bad anymore.

So any other words that have evolved so far I should be aware of?

    Anyway ignoring Trolly mac Troll.

I've been lured back back to WoW after a long long absence (damn you cully) and was wondering how people are split on the servers. I had toons on both Outlands and Terenas. Am I right in thinking that the majority of people here are on Terenas ? I'd prefer to follow the herd.

ok, now i am a troll..
probably i am indeed the "only queer in the village" as you said right?
worry not, i leave this forums now.

    take care you all.

Off the top of my head:
    Sick
    Wicked
    Shift
    Meet

I stopped being pc about the term when a gay friend of mine (and long time boards.ie mod) began using the term in the context being discussed here.

    Anyway, back on topic

Ditto. theyve mixed crack and heroin and come up with Achievements.

Theres about eleventy billion returning and new irish players on Outland alliance side and i think Terenas is the current irish Horde fotm.

tried war, wasnt mad about it. got the game anda subscription for free and i still didnt enjoy it!

so after about 3 months, maybe less im returnin to the dark side.

renewed subscription and logged on thursday night. some nice new features since patch deffo, re specced 2 of my mains with new specs.

but.... orgrimmar is empty, there is a wait for a game of av on a friday evening?!!! wtf.

there is a serious lack of people playing the game from what i can see.

my old guildies are now raiding ssc and aq.

the game has changed in such little time.

did war take a huge player base or are people simply not playing while they wait for wotlk.

i dont care about the new content, i wanna try dk more tbh.

Depends on the server I guess. I noticed something completely contrary to what you say. I can see a lot more people online on the servers I play compared to what it was 2-3 months ago. Alot of people level up alts as far as I noticed as well.

I'm relatively new to the game, only playing a few months. I noticed the servers a bit quieter when WAR came out, however since the patch they are now busier than ever. When LK drops I feel loads will return to the game, if they are not already back.

Reminds me of Par's "RADOX BANNED ME FOR CALLING SOMEONE GAY EVEN THOUGH I AM GAY" picture :D

Must resist temptation to buy wotlk... haven't got time to raid... argh!!

Seriously i'm feeling a bit on the fence about wotlk. I took a break a few months ago and tbh haven't missed it that much. I don't think i have time to raid anymore so don't see any point in leveling to 80.

I just know i'll give in and buy wotlk then be pissed i'm stuck doing heroics for gear.
