CARLY! OMG!( they still say that right?) i remember now i didnt think in a million years it was you you didnt seem the boards posting crazy sci fi nerd at all. thats the problem with todays society you just cant tell whos who. not like in the 50s... ah the greasers jocks and dorks they will be missed....

Haha, well if you want I can wear my glasses and pocket protector in tomorrow, that should help, right? :p Sidenote, I am currently rocking the Tina Fey glasses. Lets be honest, they look good on everyone.

And drinking at home is perfectly valid excuse for you to have missed the meeting. Plus it makes me feel a lot better about only noticing this thread now. :pac: Btw, I'm in for one hour on Weds (9-10) but I'll be hanging around till later for the Freshers ball if thats when you're all meeting. If it doesn't suit, Friday is cool by me too.

and for those of you over 19, Space 1999!!! lol

19??? if i were 29 i might have known it existed :D...doesnt look as good at LOST IN SPACE!!!

As for Forbidden Planet, I might be able to help, I know a guy working there. Or you could just go to STOCS (Monday and Wednesday Seminar Room 6.30) and ask for Skippy (thats him not be btw), cos I'm off to the States tomorrow.

Can I suggest calling the Soc Sci-Fi Soc instead of resurecting Strange Things...lets face it, who'd know what that was

Well I think out of respect to the original "nerds" who started it in 1993 we should keep the name...

We can meet wednesday... But preferably in the afternoon.. (Me with a hangover is not a pleasent thing, although I might not drink! :D)

It's crazy but it just might work and chances are people might know what it is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 235 ✭✭Carri

I don't even know if they'll let us change the name!

We're using all of ST's equipment, constitution etc.. So.. *shrugs*

I text Reg and asked.. No reply as of yet..

    Fingers crossed though..

You can set up an idependant soc and have their assets transfered to you. Though Changing the name is probably much simpler :D
