    2 if you count yourself.
I think you need a committee of 5 and 20 members.

Congrats. Your on the commitee. Now I need 3 more commitee members and 20 people..

    I'm a sci-fi kinda guy
I'd say you'd easily get 20 people, even by just telling people about it on campus.
Count me in anyway, can I be the Lead Whovian?

We're gonna have to have a WHO-off to decide that one.

"Strange Things" were the old scifi society, they died due to lack of interest.

Sure couldn't we both just be different regenerations of the one Lead Whovian?!

    I'd love a SciFi Soc..

Dr Who, Firefly, Star Trek, Stagate, Torchwood..

If we find enough people I'll so set this up!

The amount of stuff it could cover is HUGE!
Think of all the Sci-Fi novels, movies, games, tv shows...
And at last I can have Battlestar buddies!

Take it to Clubs and Socs commitee when there's 20 prospective members, a constitution, and officers!
    What would we do?
    Screenings?
    And what else?
Introductory classes to Sci Fi that you haven't watched / read maybe?

I do own several pinstripe suits that I wear often with converse. Haven't done it on campus... Yet. You're not the only one. If only I could get a trenchcoat.

personally i reckon that would be best don t limit it to just a few and try not get in too deep with any one thing it draws people away. ex I love serenity and ive never watched any dr who i love sci fi though and i wouldnt be against learnin about it but i don t want to join a society where im lost in a see of quotes and facts bout it. do ya get what im tryin to say???

We could organise some form of competition inter-universities. Like, have a Sci-Fi Trivia quiz against UCD.. We'd obviously win anyway.. :P (I know the president of their Sci-Fi Soc)

Yeah I know what you mean. I think a general Sci-Fi soc would be cool, I mean you're bound to find someone else who shares your interest in a particular series, and if not, you can introduce new people to it! I think a Sci Fi soc would be fantastic!

Indeed. We can't limit ourselves to just the usual star wars dr. who etc. We'd have to cover a broad range of sci-fi so as not to limit our members.

And I'm lovin the sci-fi ball idea!

    Sci-Fi ball sounds mad! :D:cool:

So how many members have we got here?
I have a friend in 2nd year who I think may also be interested, and I'm sure I could spread the word around Journalism too!

Common Entry Into Engineering. Fresher also. I'd say 20 people would be easily roped into joining. You just need a charter and a committee of 5 to set it up. I'll be surprised if we couldn't do it.

I vote we make signs. Really big ones. And get signatures.. There has to be 20 people on the campus that like Sci-Fi... :P

I'll walk round in my dr. who attire next Monday with a sign and a petition or whatever if you let me on the committee.
I'll do the same this week sans dr. who attire.

like ''this month we'll be reading Terry Pratchett's Nightwatch''

Here's a CRAZY idea, which only you and I will probably get.
    To drum up publicity...
I could regenerate into you... LIVE.
Damn, it's stupid, but it may just work Ted.
Also- Cylons handing out leaflets too???
    And Darth Vader?
