i was so tempted to buy stargate season 1-10 box set its like 56 disks it looks AMAZING!!!!!
Btw i put up a post on sci fi boards askin people for advice on events etc we could run maybe they might have experience with socs?0 -

Just tell me where to meet. God, I've been nerding out the other CS students for the past week and they kind of keep looking at me like, wtf when I said I was totally joining Comics Soc? :P
Seriously, I already have a Princess Leia costume lined up for the Halloween Ball and a Battlestar Galactica one for Halloween night.
Man, this is awesome. Nice thinking Carri.
I'll be honest I haven't read through all the posts yet, but some of my fav shows are Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Firefly (does Buffy and Angel count? Probably not) and I think Spaced deserves an honourary mention.
As for books & comics, Neil Gaiman, Brian K. Vaughan, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett and Kelly Armstrong are personal favourites.
& if I started on movies this post would just turn into a lecture so I'll stop now.
Seriously guys, fill me in on the details here.
EDIT: Yeah, so I just read the last few posts, and learned that I missed the first meeting today... Please tell me you guys are planning to meet again during the week.0 -

anyway another thought gamestop hmv etc usually give free posters etc for old games if you just ask might be a good idea cut down on work for clubs and socs. free sci fi posters just put our name above em. good to see some support there book girl you a fresher? btw whats CS is t common scienceor what???0 -
Ok, reading over my last post I can see how I may have come across as an over-excited crazy person. But I'm not. Well, most of the time.
So I can't see that many girls replying on the boards. (or maybe the screen names are just a bit hard to interpret) Atm, I'm guessing its just you and me Carri? What course are you doing yourself?

well i actually dont, i didn't quite make it to the meetings today, i didn't actually go into to college, i was drinking at home. and then instructing First Aid this evening, so i wasn't at either, i know its bad that the chairman didn't attend but i find out that i was the chair after the meeting this evening... i have to say i'm quite excited.... lol 0
