I agree.
With any luck I'll be able make it. I got a costume and everything! Anyone got any suggestions for what I should do between 3-8? Hopefully I'll meet some people to hang around with, but if not, I don't like the idea of bummin' about by myself for 5 hours.

I'm sure there'll be a few people hanging around after but if worst comes to worse you could go to the cinema in Omni? It'd be a shame to waste that costume

Yeah. I spent a good half hour putting together an "Hello my name is" sticker with the Juno logo from the dvd and an orange and white background.

.... now that I've just typed that I realize how sad it sounds, but god dammit it was worth it.:p

Anyone have any idea if there'll be a good crowd? Or if anyone on here is going? Hopefully others will be dressed up. I ain't going in there like a big pregnant idiot.

Well there was a great crowd last night, so I'd imagine it'd be the same if not more tomorrow night since the Blizzards are involved. I'll be honest with ya, not a huge amount of people actually dressed up for the cowboy night (bout 10-15% at a guess) but that shouldn't put you off, could change for tomorrow!

Before I forget, wherebouts can we collect our tickets? Somewhere in the Hub is it?

I'm actually not sure where to get a ticket at all..

You have to txt "events" to a number I forget and they hold a ticket for you under that number. It says on the txt where to collect it but I deleted it by accident.

The Blizzards plus special guests welcome you to your first DCU Ball- Awh.... Prepare to get disorientated! (see what I did there?!).

Not sure if you’ve noticed just yet but we like our themed nights here in DCU. Any excuse to dress up really. And Balls with bar extensions (woop woop!) well that just means prolonging the fancy dressed shenanigans. And the theme for The Orientation Ball 2008 will be…. Ba Ba DaDAAAA!!! -The Silver Screen. It is your chance to dress up as your favourite character from the moviefilms, from Napoleon Dynamite to Don Corleone to Mary Poppins. Is Mary Poppins cool yet? Oh well, she is in my world.

So! Long story short, The coolest band in the country right now will be here to entertain us and laugh at our deadly costumes. MAKE SURE!!!! to get your invite early, they are free, but they are limited. Text “EVENTS” TO 087 7730000 and toddle on up to the SU reception upstairs in the HUB, show them your invite on your phone and Bob is you fathers brother, you’re in.
