Scumbags, yay or nay?

They seem to multiply at an alarming rate. I remember back in the old days (maybe 10 years ago) there were a few n'er do wells in every town but now you have to wade through millions of them every time you go outside the door.
Anyway, I called a bunch of drug users/street drinkers (the type you always see hanging around, not occasional users) scumbags the other day and got the head torn off me by a member of the PC brigade who said they should be helped and homed and gosh darn it just loved back into the world. As far as I am concerned these (particular) people

put themselves there

keep themselves there

steal

intimidate people

fight, amongst each other or with unfortunates who get in their way

do not work

do not try to work

scare children

p*ss anywhere

turn areas into no go areas

and I find it really really hard to have sympathy. Yes so circumstances can make life hard for people but lots of people have difficult lives and just get on with it and make a frickin effort. Tbh I have more sympathy for the couple trying to make ends meet with two jobs and a coupe of kids.

So should we have sympathy and be understanding to all these people?

Or are they scumbags who don't deserve it?

it's an impossible situation. Unless a war or something comes along and shakes up society a bit and makes people respect society and people again this will continue to be an issue in Ireland and the UK. It can only get worse too because they tend to have more kids than the decent people of the world, because they're far less responsible. And we have to take care of the bills for them too. People should really need licences to have kids in this day and age, the world is far too overpopulated anyway. Hug-a-hoody? Castrate the b*stard or shoot him in the face.

There's a kid from around where I live and everytime I see him, I just marvel at his complete lack of humanity. He's never been in prison and still gets away with stuff like knocking out people's teeth indiscriminatly.
In fact, he's just like lil Ze in City of God except he hasn't yet gotten as far as killing anyone.
He doesn't even seem to be interested in women, he's just centred on being a filthy vandal and a thug and will continue being a scumbag for the rest of his life.
People like THAT should be culled.

The one time I do start to feel sympathy is when I see parents with kids - like the other day I saw a mother calling her 4 year old a little pr1ck - and I think well there's a scumbag in the making.

But at a certain age you gotta take responsibility for your own actions I suppose.

+1 start with the parents. But todays scumbags will be tommorows parents and will no doubt have a fleet of little scumbags roaming the streets in a few years.
