Meh, whenever this comes up I just think of my circle of friends (late 20s, early 30s, very attractive and happy in themselves) and realise how much of a fallacy it is. And many of said friends are single having realised the men they were with weren't who they wanted to spend their lives with, or they merely don't want to settle down yet. And some of them simply - gasp! - aren't looking for relationships!

Actually Zulu, you're more right than you think. It's not that they aren't looking for relationships - as in, making a point of avoiding being with a man (although some of them have been hurt in the past and are cautious). But they aren't actively looking for a man. If the right guy comes along, obviously all's well that ends well.

Actually I remember someone starting a thread here about the madness of women who have been burned and are psycho when it comes to men. So are we desperate for men or man-haters?

Hey Op, as a guy, I have to disagree with you there. Women are approaching their sexual prime in their 30's and when people are in their prime, they nearly always look their best. Their hair is shinier, their skin is in good condition etc.

I have a feeling you might be thinking those things about yourself because you are well gone past your prime! (men hit their prime in their late teens-early twenties)
