Quick one for ye, what would be the craic with people playing airsoft and the likes, could they have GARDA on their tac vests or would the just make do with police?

Inclined to think it'd be a no no

Just crossed my mind reading the airsoft forum

It'd be a massive no no, I'd hope no one would be thick enough to do this.

    Yea taught as much.

Id say POLICE on their tac vest would get a queer look or two aswell

Thought I'd just poke the oul head in here, since airsoft was mentioned :D

SWAT is the only thing you would really see on a vest in airsoft, if someone

came along with garda on it, they'd probably be asked to remove it

Yea it does, you up for starting it with me nog :p

looks like great craic, bit pricey to buy your own kit but most places offer rentals, one indoor place opening soon near me (they wont disclose full location) but its going to be all offices and the like, designed for more swat/aru tactics would love to give it a shot

Think NYPD ESU might be in order :p

Can I ask what the rules are for impersonating a Gardaí, say in a play or something?
    Do you need a permit?

Jasus this is mad and I'm not sure if it is ironic, in an Alanis Morissette kind of way, but I know a serving Garda who goes on stage all the time and impersonates an actress... you should hear her sing, now that's a feckin crime :(
