So how many people here have their own websites?

Care to post links to them so I can see them? Don't worry I'm not going to copy them. I just need an idea of the general layout of a photographers site.

I'm interested in setting one up with clikpic.com, anyone have any experience with them?

There are plenty of threads here about websites, building websites, etc. Even some dealing with clickpic.

Do a quick search, and you should find them with ease.

I have three websites (Just none of them about photography (yet)).

If you need any help with any of that kind of stuff feel free to drop me a PM (I make them for a living)

mine is at www.AAAphotos.org but it's bad need of a revamp and an update.

so my advice is make a website you can easily update and change as your needs do

I knew I'd get an answer like this.

So you're telling me that everyone here has posted up their websites in easy to find threads? I don't think a thread like this has been done before, where everybody posts up their photography website in the one thread. I can't find one anyways.

I have done a quick search, and there is info about setting up websites, but I just want to see some photography websites that were created by boards users - my original question.

I've just searched for "paulw website". Nothing of use came up. I know you have a website because I have seen it somewhere here before. I also searched for threads on "clickpic" - nothing.

Sometimes the search function just doesn't have what you're looking for!

DotOrg thanks for the link, I don't care how messy or old the websites are! I'm just interested in seeing them!

edit: just looked at your site dotorg, very nice!

Maybe if you enabled signatures, you'd see that most people with websites have them listed in their signatures.

Here's a thread where loads of people list links to their websites.

    Hi 0utpost31.

one of the things I am thinking about doing is reassessing the stickies and including that information for anyone who is interested. I will add that to the list of stuff I want to do for the week.

I have two photographic websites as follows:

    Dancing Shades of Light
    (Wordpress)

    and the gallery site.
    (Coppermine and Wordpress)

Clicpic have a nice product on offer. I seriously thought about it but wound up staying with Coppermine in the end.

Paul, OP didn't ask about how to build but just wanted to see other people's sites. Would it really have been so hard to just to say something helpful like "see my sig - the link is there?"

Mine is below. It's a wordpress powered site with a hacked theme to my liking. It's not the best in the world but it's clean and that's how I like it. If you need any help with setting up one, I' here to help.

Offtopic: I have been thinking about this. It's slightly further down my list however than other more pressing concerns.

Yep I have my own name as a domain but never sorted out the site properly. I would be definitely interested in absorbing some knowledge ;)

Yes Cremo, Calina is right. Sadly I kid not.

It's all hand typed with just a bit of copy and paste to help me out.

I did make use of a batch text replacer when I had to do a major structural change recently.

it doesn't belong to anyone here, but check out www.elbow.co.uk . Just off the 'e', there is a gallery link. The gallery is brilliant (the layout)

I have my website through SiteGround, and the cost is $6 per month. Damn cheap, but a brilliant service.

Unusual angle to thread title but.........
I have no website but would love one as my music side of things has really taken off, have over 200 subscribers to my videos on utube and would love a sight that merges both my Gig photography and my videos in one, alas I'm an internet noob and not got a clue how to create a website.
    :o

I get about 150Gb of space and 1.5Tb of bandwidth per month with GoDaddy.com for about a fiver. Never had any issue with them.

I imagine if I actually started approaching anywhere near that they'd have a fit though.

Hand coded with Wordpress. Not a site designed for any one thing but pretty much an outlet for whatever i want it to be when I want it to be :)

mine is still a work in progress... just simple HTML, few flashes and javascripts... i'm too shame to show it here until it is done... :p

    In d'sig.

Nice, handy, clean template. About three images I need to fix at the moment, and a few more I need to add in and take out... Never ending process

    Am with www.godaddy.com aswell.

Domain name is less than a fiver a year, 100 gigs of memory and a 100 gig bandwidth for about 100 quid for two years. Sorted tbh. Again, if I'd done that in Ireland, I'd be screwed over :)
