Tried it once. From a bottle newly expressed. Sweet alright and pleasant enough actually. Much less fatty than cows milk. Like guinness, probably better on draft. I was breastfed as a nipper so maybe that's why I thought it ok.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

Yeah, if you think about it, it's more gross to drink milk from a cow tbh.

Is it cuz it's from boobies?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 533 ✭✭✭SpookyDoll

I cant explain.......yes cos its from boobies, wimmins boobies :( Yuk

Its just wrong on so many levels I feel sick thinking about it, its for babies like........

I would no more drink it than drink someone elses blood!

I can't cook meat due to my own entirely vegetarian childhood
It's not that hard. You just throw the meat on the pan with some oil.

Of course you can't explain because it's social and cultural conditioning that have you thinking that way - think about it logically: there is nothing actually wrong with it at all.
.......yes cos its from boobies, wimmins boobies :( Yuk
    Worse than cow's udders because...?
Its just wrong on so many levels I feel sick thinking about it
On so many levels? No it's not! It's because you associate human female breasts with sex and you also associate breastfeeding with babies so that makes it seem inappropriate for adults. None of that's true though.
    its for babies like
    Aren't babies human?

Yes, social and cultural conditioning.....definitely and also a strong disgust reaction. As far as I know the disgust reflex is sort of hard wired into us to help us avoid bad food and say, contageous diseases, so on some level I think its more than just social conditioning.

There will be a good reason adults are hard wired to be disgusted by it, maybe because its a rare commodity and nature doesnt want adults nicking each others milk....euw (lol sorry) or somefink like that...

Why would it ever be appropriate for an adult to drink it anyway, other than a curious father dabbing a bit on his tongue or whatever......

Womens boobies are worse than cows udders because human females are the same species as me!!!! Going near another womans norks does smack of lesbianism to me and also I dunno its probably a fetish somewhere but one that I feel skates around the edge of mental illness!!!

yet another reason to love ulysses. Also, spookydoll, boobs are awesome! How can they freak you out?I don't believe your disgust comes from a natural reaction to bad foods because calves will try to drink from multiple cows and wet nursing was until the last century or so very common amongst the upper classes in various societies. So if a baby doesn't naturally reject milk from a woman thats not its mother why should you?

Cuz cats give kittens their milk, cows give calves their milk etc. It's logical that humans drink the milk that comes from their own species.

    But it's not cannibalism.

Well the OP did say, in his hypothesis, that the milk would be bottled before drinking, not that it would be a case of sucking it from the breast!

Boobs SUCK !!! .....errr anyway....Oh God....you said "wet nursing" ....for the love of Jaysus....

Anyway none of ye have yet to answer my question: in what situation would an adult need to scarf boob juice off another adult?

    These occasions just dont arise.

Hmm, unfortunate choice of name here

Oh, and yes, I would drink breast milk, but the logistics make it impossible- there's never going to be enough to stock your supermarket shelf with!

Ahh you have to be taking the p1ss bud/babe, whatever you are. "the disgust reflex is sort of hard wired into us to help us avoid bad food" Is that why we are all so disgusted by sugary, salty and fatty foods, and why we all salivate at the site of a head of cabbage? "contageous diseases" is that why we all would rather keep our selves busy disinfecting our hands rather than kissing and fukking each other? Pfft, Tsst, Bah.

You don't see big wimmin cows avoiding the grass covered in thier own feaces or getting rubella innoculations either? Should we follow the animal kindoms lead there too? Maybe we should headbut the next biggest bloke to us in the vicinity untill he runs away and then force ourselves on any woman in the general area aswell, yes?

Women only produce milk when they're almost ready to give birth becasue its intended to nuture a child, the child spends a while breastfeeding and then it stops, just like in the animal kingdom, its meant to stop after a while, its the natural way

Well obviously its the natural way that it is intended to nurture a child. Just like a cows milk is naturally intended to nurture a little baby moo cow, not a people person. Do you refuse to drink moo juice or eat cheese on the grounds that its unnatural? Do you also refuse to use contraception on these grounds?

    Hi All,

This is my first of hopefully many happy posts.

My take on the whole thing is, I don't think its natural as fully matured animals don't do it, so there is no better evidence than nature itself.
In a perfect world, there wouldn't be a "gross" factor but we can't deny we are grossed out by it, and thats natural. Whats natural for animals sometimes isnt natural for us and vice versa. Otherwise we would walk around naked and sheep would be finishing cross words in the Sunday Indo.

I, personally wouldnt drink it, but should someone want to produce and sell it, thats fair enough. I wouldnt drink it, for two reasons.

    1. Considering the Human diet, chances are it will taste terrible.

    2. It's gross, there I said it.

But like I still dont see why we should do it, do ye mean do it just cos we can?

Whats the point of it, adults drinkin it....?

Would you do it slipss, and if so why?

Are you saying I shouldn't use contraception because I think a 23 year old man, myself, drinking human breast milk is unnatural?

Thats a weak argument. A really weak argument. If you do anything unnatural in your life then you're just being a hypocrite, ever dye your hair? Wear synthetic fabrics and so on?

I drink cow milk and eat cheese just like a eat beef
So if I drank human milk, should that open the door for cannibalism? Not the strongest argument but I mean, yours isn't that good

And eating meat is natural, as well as their milk, we've been doing it since we were cavemen.
Lions eat meat, sharks eat meat, birds of prey eat meat...its natural, we're carnivores...some people choose to be vegetarian or vegan, fair play but don't push it on people

    Hi M3llowship Welcome!

The animals are right! :) I trust nature and dont see why we have to do it, although I personally am disgusted by it though I am curious to know why other people want to do it!

I am suprised really at the amount of people who are for it!!

No thats not what I'm saying, I'm saying that giving the reason that you wouledn't drink human milk is that its unnatural isn't really a good reason considering drinking cow milk is unnatural. Sure we are doing it a long time (not since we were cavemen I don't think, I'm reasonably sure its a more recent thing than that?) but that does not mean they it is natural for us to do it. It is quite obviously unnatural, drinking untreated cows milk can lead to all sorts of bad stuff, what with all the bacteria and what not, it has to be unnaturally treated to make it safe for humans to drink. It is not natural, humans are the only animal that drink the milk of another species and we aren't that special.

If you wouldn't drink it because you think its icky, then that I can except, thats completly understandable. But saying you wouldn't do it because it's unnatural is silly, especially if you drink cows milk.

    Yeah, big time.

Curiosity is a big factor for me. I would try it, only for the "Go on, yer mad" factor. I just don't think its ever going to be between the Yops and Nore Valley Yogurts in Superquin?

I think some people are being slightly self righteous here.

To those people I put this challenge.

    If its so "natural"

I want to see a video of you milking your own mother and drinking the milk.

Then and only then will i believe your oath.

I can sense a mass eruption of "EEUUGGHH, my own Mom??"

But, is there anyone more natural?
