    Ha Ha Ha.

I've a BMI of 31.3, brilliant, so i'm certified obese, with 12% bodyfat.

BMI is the shiznit, great for a laugh, crap for actual stats.

Although it does work well for the average person, who never does any exercise

If you exercise plenty BMI = bolloxology. Most of the Fitness forum regulars are overweight/ obese according to BMI.

Swampy - look in a mirror and decide for yourself or at least get someone to tell you honestly. BMI can be total bs. I'm two stone overweight according to BMI as well, if I dropped two stone I'd look like sh1t.

Har har. That directed at me ;) ?

Its the missus that wants me looking ripped. I'm only 13 stone. However she is fairly fit so in fairness I should get off my arse and get back in shape.................. even though I love being lazy and eating food and boozin. Back to the poxy gym alter.

I got the bushy tail and everything.:)

I'm the type of person that if you look at you don't think "fat" but when I get naked I do have a bit of a belly. To be honest it doesn't bother me because I'm loosing it.

Been doing a lot of weights recently so I'm turning a lot of it into muscle.

    ITS GLANDULAR!!!!

BMI of 22.1 according to the VHI website I should try not to gain any more weight... b*stards!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

oh man, the glandular thing is hilarious. i had problems with my glands for a few years, most head****ing thing ever! could go a few weeks on less than two hours sleep, have all the energy in teh world, eat anything i wanted, and continue losing weight. then meds would kick in, the worst lethargy ive ever known, massive weightgain, no appetite. yuck. funny in hindsight though.

You're probably losing fat and gaining muscle.

It's impossible to turn fat into muscle, or muscle into fat, as each cell is unique from the other.

The muscle is growing from your gym work and you are losing the fat for the same reason, but it is not possible to convert one into the other.

Keep up the good work though, but don't expect when you are lean that you will suddenly stop growing! :)
