My friend was going out with an emo who was in many ways, an excellent catch but he quickly dumped her when he realised he couldn't stand her emo sayings about things like how beautiful the rain was.

My only issue with this thread is use of the word "Oddly".

Of the goth chicks I know one is possibly the perfect woman, but then there is one whom is the cliched, stereotypical goth that humanity perceives them as all being. She's constantly depressed, writes poetry about death and how unfair life is. The only film whe will watch is The Crow, even after I've explained to her that the film is'nt about death but about embracing life. The only band she listens to is The Cure but she's very selective in what songs, she won't for example listen to Love Cats as it's too "poppy and cheerful". She also enjoys going on msn and telling people that she's planning on killing herself. She has always reminded of the goth dude in Dead Man on Campus.

Ah yes. Sounds like one or two I know too. Thankfully they are heavily outweighed by the sound ones. Just like any other type of person!

Lots of people in every scene will allow themselves to be limited in this way. Never made sense to me.

The books i read/write, the music i listen to/create, the films i watch and the photos i look at and take are all an extension of who i am.
