Loads of people including eminent scientists brought a complanit against the programme which was, thankfully, not upheld.

I have studied weather and climate for a long time. It is a hobby of mine. C02 (that you always hear about) has never, and will never be a driver of climate. You are all being fed a pup. The world has cooled since 2001. You wont hear about that though! You also wont hear that Artic ice is well advanced on last year. You wont hear anything against 'Global Warming' in the mainstream media. You are being fed an excuse for tax increases and something that is driven fundamentaly by hard core environmentalists. I am very happy this facist attempt to censor the other factual side of this argument has failed. Every 'scientist' that believes in 'Global Warming' is compromised......they are paid to believe it. If they dont they lose their job. This is a massive con job these people are engaged in and I hope you all realise that.

There is a direct correlation between a no vote for the Lisbon and melting ice caps.

oh right it is a stupid time back home.

but I do unfortunately agree with the sentiments of the OP.

But Ofcom did rule against them. They were found not to live up to their obligations of impartiality

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7517101.stm

Some of the scientists who brought the complaints were actually in the 'documentary' and felt they were misrepresented.

Anyone who thinks that trying to break our dependence on fossil fuels is a bad idea is clearly a short sighted fool.

i thought the debate these days was on climate change, and not global warming.

Good point - why do you think that is? - I will tell you why - they talked bullsh*t for the last 10 years - now temperature trends go against them - its no longer 'warming' its 'climate change'. The Earth has always naturally changed its climate. They want you to believe you are responsible. They intentionally ignore the force of nature at your expense.

ok fair enough, i'll take the blame. global warming\cooling and the **** summer are all my fault

this is contrary to everything I read as wide eyed youngster on it. they do acknowledge the normal fluctuations, but what most have pointed to was the apparent rate of acceleration in change.

this is pointless anyway. fossil fuels are running out. people's health is deteriorating, partly due to pollution in cities. doesn't matter what line you to, the same thing's going to happen either way.

just as long as we don't become dependent on bio-fuels. now THERE's the information problem.

CO2 CANNOT DRIVE CLIMATE - FACT. Yet this is what these media freindly mugs constantly come out with. Look it up and you will quickly find out why!

Yeah, I study Earth and Ocean science and I was a wee bit shocked to hear one of the lecturers say that global warming was a load of bull.

We can already thank them for much of the rising prices of food.

asphyxiation from concentrated levels of C02 apparently.

All I know is that I haven't seen a desent summer in 11 years, Global warming is a load of bull, at least the name is, as it gives the impression that things will get hotter. Where it appears that the weather has just become more unstable, and what ever the region does not need more of it gets, sun in the arid regions and rain in the milder climates and so on. Global warming really sucks.

I agree with monkeyfudge. Whether climate change is due to CO2 or not it is a good idea to become less dependent on fossil fuels and more aware of what we're putting out in the world.

They will run out you know and where will be then? Living in a jungle with monkeyfudge ruling as king of the monkeys and then we'll know all about it!

He won't be king of the jungle.
He be my bitch and will be sucking on my lion sized loins.

David Attenborough said global warming is a load of crap. I believe him because he was always interesting in 6 channel land when I was a kid.

That and the fact that climate change is a naturally occurring thing.
10,000 years ago this little Island of ours was covered in ice. Now it's one of the most pleasant places on the planet to live. Never too hot or too cold. But I can't get a tan. STFU nancy boy.
2,000 years ago the sea of Galilea regularly froze over (which is where the whole Jesus walking on water story comes from). Now it's a really hot place and Peter Griffin was right when he said that you can't tell the difference between and Israeli and a Palestinian.

Look OP, Al Gore was right about ManBearPig so we HAVE to take his word on global warming. We have to!

Globally, people are living longer, healthier, happier lives than they have ever done in the history of our species.

It's in the media's interests to tell us that we're all in imminent danger of death and chaos, when nothing could be further from the truth.

If thats what an eminent scientist looks like then Pigheads gonna be ignoring everything those fat fcukers say from now on.

They wouldnt do the same in terms of implicating Gore's nonsense.
Completely right Darkman. An absolute load of total and absolute nonsense driven by scientific misrepresentation and no amount of green crustys on bikes protesting at a petrol station is going to change that.

Well in that case I'll be sure to take your word over people who have actually studied it professionally. I mean - you're posting on an internet forum and providing valid links to back up all your 'facts'. How could an actual scientist compete with the mighty power of an internet amateur hobbyist like yourself?

I sir am convinced. Well done.

Wow. Thank god for PROFESSIONAL SCIENTISTS. Never gotten anything wrong have they? Or accepted lies and touted them on harming others. Or participated in studies where funding is shady. Or skewed metrics to get the desired results.
    Science be praised!!!!
