    Okay okay, however, surely you can see from photos whether someone is curvy or indeed "fat" as you say. I have pictures up so I don't think I'm disguising the fact that I'm not a size 8! So if someone contacts me, I'm presuming that they're not blind and they've looked at my photos?

    I've found it really depends what you're looking for and how much effort you're willing to put in.

    For a quick shag they're great, to actually get into a relationship with someone takes a long time and patience, but it does work. :)

    unfortunately, there usually is an option for beached whale so most people have to go with curvy

    A full photo will reduce the confusion , you cant be shocked if you know what you are getting into before hand. I think that people do not put up pictures for the fear for been ridiculed , That was my reason any ways.

    Yeah you're right. I said already that webcams are good also for really seeing what someone is like! And "beached whale" is a really derogatory term to use in reference to someone and doesn't really portray you in a good light whatsoever.

Plus some of those photos don't even match the other i.e i think it's a totally different person. Very easy to weave things in wicked ways on the internet, as you know yourself. And as someone commented, let's see a pic of the ultra cool and sexy person who set the site up...... eh yeah, thought not!

    it is true though, that's why I said webcams can give a more accurate account as some people pure pose in such photos. There's enough bad pics of me out there though to show that I'm nto hiding anything really! :D

    The art of photography, love it . I did say an honest picture, I am all for looking for your best for the picture, but using the camera ,or editing to improve it more than you should is not a good idea.

    I never realized how many people were editing their photos on social sites, If everyone else is doing, I can do it! Most celebrity's get their pictures air brushed, And its not that hard to do. I wouldn't edit every single picture though, I'm not that fake! :D

    On average of course, but I would imagine the distribution is different; ladies can get it easier by standing around at the bar while the men taking them home are a narrower group of particularly skilled playahs/mansluts or whatever designation you so desire.
    If you exclude the men with an unusually high success rate you will no doubt see the average drop significantly.

    Years ago I used to frequent a none dating related chat community.
    One of the regs who was old enough to be my Dad asked to see a pic.
    No probs.
    He sent me back a new improved me with the aid of photoshop.
    He gave me a tan! :D

    Have profiles on OKCupid and Gaydar Girls, but no luck on either - then again, I don't have photos on my profiles because I have very little confidence in how I look. Meeting someone would be nice, but I'm not in a major rush.

    I would imagine that your problem is that - by internet law - without a picture you're a man until proven otherwise.

    Join somewhere that only lets your profile be viewed by other members and that way, if they mention seeing your profile, you can get your disownage in first.
