Stayed in Jury's Inn, Quay Street, Galway on Saturday.
    156 for a double room.
Breakfast not included, extra 10 euro, which then was raised to 12 euro because I hadn't ordered it the night before.
Parking (for guests of the hotel) also cost ten euro extra per day.
No shampoo/ soap/ conditioner/ shower cap in bathroom.
    No ice-bucket available from bar.

Travelodge standard at Jury's prices. Will never go back.

Thats crazy. I'd expect to get all that. I paid for a nice little hotel once in Dublin with a mate cos we were hammered. Don't know the name of it but cost 80 euro and got tea in our room, shower gel etc and even a full Irish breakfast. Was delighted so I was.

Mayonaise needs to be banned full stop. Charging for it is the first step I hope.

Marios in Terenure quite recently used to give spuds and veg with whatever you ordered, but since it's been done up they're charging for that now (and prices have increased dramatically). I found this out when I ordered something and was looking around for the person to come around with the veg & spud tray.

I used to be really fond of Mario's for a midweek bite, but their prices have gone so ridiculous since the refurb that I actually don't go there anymore.

If you get cheese on a sambo from the deli across the road from my office they charge it as 3 salad portions!

They also tried to charge me demi-baguette price for one of those little bouchon rolls before.

A pub in Ballsbridge tried to charge me 22.50 for 3 glasses of coke. I burst out laughing at the barman and walked out.

Yep - I caught everybody's attention too by the barman following me out the door. Ireland is 'like this' because most people just pay and moan later.

Yeah, I was charged £2 for a pint of blackcurrant before, which is especially annoying when you make the effort to be a responsible designated driver.

Quiet you! Mayonnaise is second in command to ketchup!

a taxi driver tried to charge me for luggage once (I hadn't any). When I queried it, he informed me that my handbag was counted as luggage. The back was a tiny evening bag - about the same size as an envelope, with enough room for keys, money and lipstick in it.

    Luggage it wasn't.

I'd have walked away and called him a stingy cunt, charging for a handbag!

I was ordering flowers online for my GF a while back, when I was having problems putting the order through, so I ordered somewhere else.

I put a message to be notified before delivery, so the first place rang me saying that they were at her workplace now!!!! - this was on the order which I thought had failed. So I told them I didn't get confirmation, so I assumed it was broken.

Anyway, he wanted to charge me €6 for the non delivery of the flowers, he was pretty adamanet that I'd pay as he had my CC details :)

I rang AIB and put a block on the robbing Interflora gits - :)

Difference being - one is made from tomatoes, the other is made from oil. Spot the more expensive ingredient

I was in one of those the other day too

But they didnt even f*cking ask me if I wanted butter, I f*cking hate the stuff, so when I realised this I made the b*tch make me a whole new roll without butter

Btw keep them coming, love the naming and shaming of all these places, I'd name the shop too only I don't remember it

    "The Flaming Wok" in Clane.
Went there with my bfriend after we heard it was a great Chinese.
Ordered two standard dishes for around €15 each, the type that normally come with rice. Except they charged something like €4 for the rice....or the 'side dish' as they like to call it...
I thought that was over the top.

SPAR in the airport are horriffic when it comes to prices...€3.99 for a chicken fillet roll and I thought I'd get the coleslaw free - total was €4.80 (!!!), and it was manky and all, couldnt eat it! Never again.

They're also the only place in the entire airport, apart from the McDonalds, that doesn't honour the staff discount.

I think they're grand, just get 2 or 3 ingredients at most. You'll be raped silly for food in the airport

one local abrakebabra charged me extra for garlic mayo instead of regaular mayo on my chicken wrap, same place would only put lettice on it when i asked for some tomato on the wrap as well, was told didn't come with it, dispite the picture above the counter showing it did, use to go to it often, havn't stepped inside it for a year now

one of my other local abrakebras have no objections to putting on what ever salad or sauce i want on my food the odd time i go there

Years ago if you ordered Fillet Steak in a restaurant you got chips, mushrooms, onions and pepper sauce all included.

Now, you pay 20 odd euro for the bloody steak and the rest you have to pay extra for too:eek:

Tell me about it. I'm gonna end up paying away all the difference in pay between this job and the last one (which was on my doorstep) in food costs!
