Legal shroom-ish options?

Who has tried these trippy legal pill dealys from Nirvana/head shops?

Not that 'party all night' E-guff, but theres one type in there that apparently gives you a mushroom-y 'I can see the music' visual trip? I was out a while back and a friend of a friend of a friend was with us that worked in one of these shops, said that its the real deal (or as close as you're gonna get sans fungus).

In the shop theres a 'rating' system of something like 'Energy', 'Visuals' etc and this one is full marks on visuals but much lower on energy I think.

Any 1st hand experiences of getting burned/seeing the wallpaper bleed??

I assume you mean party pills? They comtain BZP. Tried them a few times and I got the mushroomy effect. Give em a go if you like but they aren't great.

You assume wrong. The OP stated that he's not talking about 'that party all night e-guff'.

And if you got a mushroom effect off BZP then fair play cause that's not what they're supposed to bring on.

BZP is muck anyways - horrible horrible comedown. Definitely not worth taking.

By and large i would agree with this. Better options out there than BZP from a legal standpoint.

None of those legal pills with give you any of the effects your looking for.

If its purple ohms your talking about I tried them a while back when they first came out, there crap, nothing like the real thing if thats what your after. Its just a lightheaded floaty feeling for about 3 hours then the comedown.

The comedown of those legal pills are worse then anything I've ever felt, 24 hours in bed with the worst headaches I could ever have imagined, thought my head was gonna explode... Don't trust any of that legal stuff at all. There's lots of information on the net about stuff like this, try www.erowid.org has lots of information from the good to the bad and everything in between.

My advice is to stay away... If you really want to do something like that, go to somewhere its legal, more controlled and regulated. Stay safe...

Brew up some nutmeg in a pot of water. Drink it.

In amounts of 10-40 g (~4-8 teaspoons) it is a mild to medium hallucinogen, producing visual distortions and a mild euphoria.

Very very true, but some can get away with the comedown. Afew of my own mates did and now I don't trust them because I think they're robots.

OP, you'll probably be better off going out and picking magic mushrooms.

One of the headshops just off crown alley sells Mescaline(or claims to),this is the real deal,hallucinigen derived from peyote catus.You can also buy the actual peyote cactus in dublin legally so i hear.

There is a new product which I purchased from the happy hippy shop (on North frederick st) .. Its the skin of a cactis plant.. You make a tea with it. Its gives you a sense of euphoria.. Real nice...

Also, in relation to pills, there are many different strenght of pills on the market.. Many of which are free of BZP. A ban is likely to come in on BZP at the end of next year so there is a switch coming from BZP to other herbal ingredients.

The only decent thing I bought from one of those headshops was Salvia, although to be honest I can't see how it's legal.

Anyway as for shroom pills never even heard of them myself, doubt they would be any good.

Erowid.org is your friend when it comes to drugs. Mate was talking about getting some salvia but after reading up on it, I'm in 2 minds. It repeatedly says that most people get very uncomfortable and it gets very scary however I'm attracted to it's more visual effects as I've never really had that visual a trip on mushies (when in A'dam, so it's not illegal). Anyone got advice for or against salvia? I like the idea that it lasts a very short time.

Not a fan of it by any means. Personally i like to accentuate and experience, not just sit there and giggle like a ****tard for 30 seconds and then have nothing.

It said there's about a 4 hour comedown, is this like a weak caffeine comedown or some horrible uncomfortable yoke?

My friend had a full on existential meltdown, thought he had left our existence behind, when he came out of it he was pushing us all away and crying cos he was scared he'd have to go back.

It can be quite powerful so treat with caution. First two occassions I tried it the only downside was sweating a lot and there was nothing special about it. Third day I tried it (40x I think) it was fine all day with a few cans on the side. After doing about the sixth/seventh bowl though it really kicked in and I had the most powerful physcological near death experience I have ever had (I've tried a few things in my time). It really scared the shyte out of me but no real downside afterwards. In fact I think I drew a lot of positives from it (one being not to bother with it again). Tried Kratom cake as well which is quite good but it made me drink a lot as it really keeps you awake and the hangover the next day was pretty bad. IMO the best thing you can purchase legally from Headshops are good quality femme seeds (Khola/White Widow)

Would you recommend it for the experience? A lot of the things I've tried I'm glad I took even though I wouldn't think of taking them again. Is it really that scary? I always think that if I just keep reminding myself that I'm on drugs that I'll be calm is that the case here or do you really feel your sanity going?

I couldn't really recommend it to be honest as I don't know how you may react but if you want to get a feel for it perhaps try the lesser strength. In saying that I didn't hear of anyone else having a reaction like I did although most said they wouldn't bother with it again as it wasn't that interesting. That last time I tried it there was no option of "reminding myself" like that as it was complete curtains down/lights out in to full blown trip mode. Maybe it just has to trigger something to get like that but it is only 10/15 minutes and not like a 6-9 hour thing so...

Salvia will **** with your mind but it's not a true psychedelic.

Your best bet would be to get some DRIED mescaline-containing cactus.

Do your research first on the internet (erowid ect.) Also Shop around coz some shops will rip you off and you could end up paying loads for a very small amount.

You might want to consider ordering it online, it's a lot cheaper, although some sites will sell you dodgy ****...

Hey, OP here, cheers for the advice so far, I'm not even looking for the trippy avenue in pill form necessarily, its all I had been told about.

I'm away at the weekend and am looking for a handy way to get something of that ilk by Thursday!

Oh yeah, and I'm not a novice to the 'other realm', I partook (sp?) in mushies a lot when legal, and most recently had a GREAT night on em in the Dam in June so basically, salvia, mescaline (where can you get THAT!?) whats the best to go with 'over the counter'?

Salvia definately isn't for a festival, not the right time to be doing that tbh... As for mesc, you can get a peote cactus in town but they are only young and won't work until its at least 3 years old as far as I can remember.

Salvia is for when you're with a couple of mates in someones house.

First time I ever did it was at a party with a lot of other SOBER people (it had only started). Needless to say I felt like a right muppet until they all got drunk and tried some.
