Go back to the exact same club, and see if she lets you in free again, or even have a chat with her next time, see whats happening. Or do a test, wear the pikey clothes and see her reaction then go out and buy some designer gear see what happens.

I used to be a barman. I doubt she thought you worked there, as it's generally frowned upon to have staff drinking there as a customer.
I reckon the manager told her something like "my cousin will be coming in, he's wearing a green jacket and red t-shirt" or whatever, so when you arrived she just assumed you were him.
I'd like to believe it was cause she thought you were famous though.

No way! It was rubbish. I'm not goin back there anytime soon. I like quite cheesy clubs. I can't stand places where the music is like listening to background lounge tunes, but up loud.
