I'm really not trying to be smart with you kittensoft, but surely it's down to the individual to do whatever they want, irrespective of gender? Who cares whether it's the done thing or not?

I asked a guy out once a few years ago... it wasn't the best date... ah well..
I'll leave it up to them next time!

In this day and age it's perfectly fine.

I'm all for it. I'm tired of women laughing at me, so it'll be nice for the shoe to be on the other foot for a change.

It's to be encouraged. Why should men do all the work?

I think its wierd when a girl asks you to go out for a drink. Not trying to sound like a total wanker but when they do that you kind of feel like you don't need to do any work which is not good! Its happened before and I lost interest really quick even though she was a really nice girl. I dunno, I'd rather make an ass of myself doing the work. Wierd that I know because then you end up being whipped lol :( .

The ideal circumstance is pure randomness imo. Thats always good :D

Edit - now that I think of it. There was a thread like this like a year ago and I remember having a rigorious debate with the gorgeous Donegal Lass :) . O how my tune has changed :p

I was asked many times to go out and never found it weird. Same as I asked many people for the same.

    +1

Yeah us men can be quite bad a picking up signals so it does help when they make it obvious. I definitely wouldn't have a problem with a woman asking me out.

    Any offers!!!!! :D

it makes a nice change from the endless slagging, being told to **** off, derision and disinterest we poor Irish blokes normally have to put up with.

    Go for it!

Go for it, its nice to see an Irish female with a different view on things.I was over in southampton recently, and my god is there a difference. The women offer to buy you drinks, are friendly and approachable and up for a good laugh. Here on the other hand, the women are so far up their own arses they're licking their tonsils, and all of them seem to have what can only be described as a "Beyonce Complex" (believe they are too good looking for any man but in reality nothing special at all)

I asked a gal out once or thrice. They didn't work out either. Maybe I should leave it up to them the next time. If there's a next time.

    Works both ways, gorgeous.

Well dont do the obvious like ask them for a drink?

do something different like tell them you know where they live and if they dont meet you tonight with a suitcase full of money their whole family will be dead

Just say ''are you going to ask me out or do I have to do all the work?''

Gives them the chance to ask first knowing they're safe!

good call budd, from southampton , some of the girls are quality and chatty enough, then watch out for bird called sharon how like nothing better than to pull another sharons creole earings from her head while stuffing her face with a big mac! (have seen this in soton high st!!)

as for the actual question, its nice, but think that it does cut the chase a little which can be fun.

    I'm open for offers tho!!

    It's 2008, not 1958 ;)

I've done it before (successfully I might add!) and I'd do it again if I'm in the position. I don't think I'd want to go out with a guy that would be put off by that, so I don't see a problem.

Yes. Remember just a while ago you were an unknown brand in an overcrowded marketplace and now kittensoft ranks amongst the highest recognised brands in the toilet paper market.

If you can do that surely asking a fella out is not beyond your grasp?

Just do it, In the end does it really matter who asked who out, as long as you both end up out :D

She's got some stiff competition from that puppy though... When you think cute toilet paper ad do you immediately conjure up a mental image of the Andrex puppy or the Kittensoft kitten? IS there even a Kittensoft kitten?
