    A cursory browse through the google search results for net neutrality gives the following:

    From these, I get the impression that broadband providers aren't looking to make users pay for content, instead they're trying to get providers of content to pay for better performance of their website (eg if you don't pay $X, your website only loads at 10% speed or something).

    What might happen is that some broadband companies might end up being subsidised by the content providers. Maybe youtube, google, etc, might pay these providers big bucks to guarantee that their content streams at 100% efficiency. This might enable the broadband providers to offer their service at a lower cost than their competitors, which might work out cheaper if you mainly use the web to access these big sites.

    Would you subscribe to a broadband service if it was 5 euro a month, but if you accessed any site other than google/youtube/ebay/microsoft etc you'd had to pay x cents per megabyte if you wanted to connect at a speed faster than dialup? I'd say loads of people would. And for people who wouldn't, there would be alternative broadband providers providing the service we're familiar with today at the prices we're currently paying.

    I recon that the free internet will be so full of spam, ads ect that it will become unusable. I'm prepared though I've saved a copy of the internet to floppy.

    thats not what it looks like to me.Some people are stupid and dont want to see that,communist or not, global warming isnt a lie and has been proven

    but now that we think of it isnt this a thread about the internet and not global warming?

    The internet: maybe when these apparent plans are implemented then people can stop using the internet to pedal the rumor mill that spues out comspiract theories such as....global warming!

    explain your belief that global warming hasnt been proven

    yes there has been warming periods in the past but none nearly on the scale of the one now.As the amount of cars etc goes up,so does the temperature and various flora are dying en masse because the creatures that ate them arent being killed by harsh winters or because its simply too hot

    I think this arguement is best suited for another thread or PM............and TBH i am only trying to wind you up.....I do believe that the climate we live in is changing but that it is a natural progression and nothing to do with us or what we do while we are here...The very nature of life and living things is evolution therefore thing must evolve and change in order to survive- I can go into this in more detail but as i said this prob isnt the right place
