Not all Nigerian people are scammers and there are thousands of hard working Nigerians in Ireland.

I say go for it, although beware of how religious Nigerian people are!

There is that reputation out there, but don't most men have that reputation of just being out for a ride? But Nigerian men seem to have their reputations overblown more than the rest of us

Meet him for a coffee, in a neutral environment, during the day. You will be able to get a read of him that way, if it was a late night beer then the situation could be harder to read, too many distractions

They're not great drinkers either for some reason

I was talking to a super leftie feminist campaigner once and even she said there is a scamming culture endemic in Nigeria. But not all of them are gonna be scammers so give this guy the benefit of the doubt.

Mmm - interesting, didn't expect the levels of negativity to be this high.
Wondering how many of ye who have nothing good to say actually KNOW any Nigerians as per the thread title - only one person has ever been out with one I see....ye're gas..

Anyway, I know I would be more likely to meet up with an Irishman first and that is for cultural reasons, I'm very independent & feel my sense of humour might be lost elsewhere etc. and so on. I'm getting mails from Irish guys now elsewhere and would be more inclined to see one of them first, nothing to do with prejudice just feels easier. Also lean towards men with kids too etc.
This online dating is fascinating - yet another addictive laptop pastime for me :)
