At the weekend, I continued my research into a particularly rare species of dinosaur. After building a time-machine out of a station wagon, some pots and pans, and some aluminum tin-foil, I attempted to travel back in time 5 million years. The results were disappointing. I then realised it would be more sensible to excavate some fossils, and then reassemble the bones.

    5 million years , don't you mean 65 million

Actually any time before 9:15 am Tuesday July 19th 65,012,345 BC would have been good.

set your microwave to defrost and that should send you back 300 million years then you can just wait for the dinsaurs to arrive

Tried that but just got sea sick with the continental drift,so rolled back to 550ma amphibians were much more interesting than dinosaur, not as noisy and a damn sight easier to outrun*.

    * stuff like this is important, the number of time travellers that have had to be rescued

Can anyone remember that site that promised to rescue you for a tenner ?

I knicked yer mans machine when he came back , the old fake death ploy, and I've to sign up next thursday. Yer man was ok about it afterwards since I bought him a new one with the profit I made on the diced carrot franchise.

everyones happy, i went back in time invested me money in the stocks made millions and it all fell out of me pocket one day and i was left with a tenner which i used to get help from that same site so they could get me money back and they did nothing, they took my tenner went back in time and it turns out the money didnt fall out of my pocket one day, it was them that took it from me and then set up the site with the money they made and now their trillionaires, well they will be in 2034 when all money looses its value completely

feckin' idiots for not investing in chronotrons. all these millions and they didn't see that recession coming? time travellers my ass... all they are doing is exploiting a quirk of quantum chronotronics where you're in two temporally distinct places at once. when you hand your monies to them that creates the link. not time travel.

There was a lady named Bright,
Who could travel faster than light.
    She went out one day,
    In a relative way,
And came back the previous night.

Nice girl actually, met her in 6146 at that TriD gig. Yes FTL works and avoids the whole microwave thing, just uses a shítload of power, really ungreen. Still she knew what she was doing and seems to have solved the whole bumping into something while accelerating problem. Wouldn't tell me how she did it and no way I'm going to mess around with that suuff without the secret as your turning circle at 0.99c is almost as scary as your reaction time at the level of time dilation. And boy can she rehydrate a pizza ;)

ah the old rehydration trick. Problem was that it screwed with the environment so we had to send back some ozone depletion modules to screw with the atmosphere and trap moisture to pre-rehydrate the oceans. The crazies back in the 21st century started blaming global warming. The comedy movies like "An inconvenient truth" are still being played in some holo-theatres.

I put an apple and some tin foil in a microwave and next thing you know Isaac Newton claims he discovered gravity.

    Damn him

That's nothing, I used a microwave to turn a Duck in to a singer.

All you do is leave it in there till it's bill withers, that was a lovely day. Sent the duck back to 1938, still sends me christmas cards.

The only way to ensure such a aforum exists in the future is to say now that such a forum will bo a total and absolute failure. I for one don't ever see it coming into fruititon.
