Where do you sit in a taxi?

So where do you sit?
I find the person in the front seat might be the person paying, so can't have that :pac:

Even if I get a taxi on my own, I always seat in the back and in the left.
Dunno why, force of habit.

Where do you go and any reason why?

Since I'm a nice guy and my friends are full of money with great jobs... I sit in the front and pay because they're tight gits!!!!!!!!!!

in the front if i'm on my own or with people and i intend to pay. in the back and i'm with people and don't want to pay!

Back, left hand side though sod all room in Dublin taxis,back right hand side is even worse, don't want to sit in front as find better chance of avoiding conversation if you sit in the back.

in the back all the time.

the ignorance of many taxi drivers mean they normally have the front passenger riddled with their hearld,coffee,breakfast roll and cigs.

they'd probably run the meter whilst they are clearing this stuff just so you can sit.

I used to sit in the front. Now I sit in the back and I love talking to them. I hate a grumpy quiet taxi driver.

When I'm in Cork, always in the back on the left, if I'm at home for the weekend always in the front because I know the taxi driver, I'm always slaughtered when I'm in the taxi, and he's asked me to sit in the front because otherwise I always lean forward to have conversations with him and I disract him!

I try to get the front seat all the time and chat away with the driver. They normally have plenty to say but you get the odd one or two who only open their mouths to ask for the fare.

In the back so that I can make a quick getaway without paying it also helps if the driver is old or overweight he won't be able to run after you.

I've learned to just shut up around certain taxi drivers I know. One night about a week after me and my ex broke up, I was ranting and raving with my friend about everything he did. I was really upset and totally let everything out!

Taxi driver dropped me off, drove back into town and told my ex everything!! :mad:

I cant even remember. I was so distressed over the break up at the time (like literally mental, lol) I can only vaguely remember the stuff I was saying. I remember the driver looking back and telling me that my ex will get what he deserves eventually and saying that he'll end up married to some cheating b*tch if Karma has anything to do with it.

I didn't think for a second he'd go back and tell him. It so embarrassing because his sister and his mam were with my ex when the driver was telling him what I'd said!!

Sit in the front if I'm on my tod, in the back with the gf or when I'm with the lads whoever is out of the house first gets the front seat.

I sat in the front once. On the way home the taxi man put his hand on my leg and tried it on. I sat in the back left against the door from then on, until I could save up the money for my own car.

Needless to say, after that, when they internally lock you in - it left my nerves shot for the rest of the journey.
