What do I have to do in fugu when I have entered the new line of code in order to make EDGE reappear again? Do I just select 'reconnect' in fugu or 'exit'? I've tried both but nothing seems to be changing for me when i go to settings/general/network, still no EDGE.

BTW, does anybody know the current O2 APN details? Thanks.

I have the above installed but still have issues with name not coming up on texts with the +353 format. I just noticed in installer there is an update for AppSupport Patch v1.3b9... Anyone used it yet? Does it solve the problem?

Just got a 16gb iphone which is sim unlocked and jailbreak done it. I still cant seem to make calls or send texts though. If I use the ziphone software will
this complete the unlocking and let me make calls and texts?

Just wanted to find out before I try and software on it

Don't use Ziphone

what did you use to unlock it what firmware is it on

Install the appsupport patch that matches your firmware version

i didnt unlock it myself i bought it unlocked off ebay. i put my sim in and it works fine it unlocks and accepts the sim. the only thing is i cant seem to make calls
or text. the version it came with is 1.1.4

Got my 16gb iphone today, arrived around lunchtime, so i was playing with it all day since.. however cannot get wireless to work on it

It actually connects to my router.. but, when i check the network settings for that connection, there's no router and no DNS set.

This leads to nothing internet on it working.. which seeing as the device is pretty dependant on inet.. is starting to tick me off

iPhone came unlocked - ordered from ebay, also jailbroken. version 1.1.4

I've tried everything that came up in searches - reset iphone, reset router, etc etc.. hoping someone here can help.

have you got security on your router?

if you do turn it off, see if it works without security.

is your router serving it up with an IP (you can check by going settings >> wifi >> wireless AP) should have an IP like 192.168.xxx.xxx

if it's just the DNS servers that aren't being sent to the phone, try manually entering them into the phone in the same place where you check the IP listed above.

Try power cycling the router

When it says it is connected are you getting a 169.***.***.** number rather than a 192.168.**.** if yes then it is not connected at all hit forget this network then turn the router off and back on should sort it out

This is the bit you need to do
Except your phone will probably be 02 or AT&T rather than T mobile

And you are using fugu instead of cyberduck makes no difference

1. use Cyberduck (Mac), SmartFTP (Windows) or any other SFTP capable client to connect via SFTP into your iPhone
2. go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/T-Mobile_Germany.bundle/ and download carrier.plist to your host
3. since you can’t edit this carrier.plist you first need to convert it
3.1. on OS X you can do it by installing the plist editor contained in the dev add ons on your installation DVD
3.2. Windows (and lazy OS X) users go here: http://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi to convert the plist online
4. so when converted just open it with your favourite text editor. It should most likely look like this (click pictures to enlarge):

5. So we need to add those tiny lines to get back EDGE editing capabilities:

6. You will find “EDGE settings” menu under “Settings” » “General” » “Network” » “EDGE”. Enter the approprate APN and you’re done…

So basically download the plist then convert it so you can edit it then add the lines save it and then replace the one on the phone with the one you edited

then you will have the edge setting back then just google o2 edge settings there is a list of them on boards somewhere

i'm getting a Error - Package download failed! when i try installing mobile chat from the installer, anyone know how to fix this as apollo has never worked for me and i'd like to get MSN on my iphone

surprisingly enough, yeah, I am.. but i've done that and still not solved it

I've forgot the network, turned off wifi, restarted the router, restarted the phone network settings, and then tried again.... *Pulls hair out*

are you sure DHCP is turned on in the router are you able to connect other wireless devices to the router like a laptop etc

Just tried it and it works for me so not the server

Make sure you have community sources installed try reinstalling the installer then community sources again

make sure you clear the queue

problem fixed - cheers cdebru.

Problem was it was accepting and connecting with a wrong wep key.. just not sending data.. guess im not used to the keypad just yet..

seems to be installing now, didn't have community sources installed so i think that was it.

i hate that queue thing in installer it's added nothing but problems, they need to have a queue button so you can see/edit/delete items in the queue.

Yeah if you get a 169 ip address then it is not connecting to the router even though it is saying it is

Guys thanks a million for all your help just got it up and running with a Meteor sim card. makes calls, sends texts, you tube works
which i thought id read it wouldnt! internet works grand everything seems perfect with it!

Liberty+ was so easy to use cheers!

Hi all, I'll be getting my new iPhone in the next week from the US and I've been keeping an eye on the the best unlocking software. Has anybody used the new pwned tool yet? It seems to be the best one out there now for unlocking your phone.

If Apple brings out a new software release you dont have to worry about upgrading to it and locking your iphone as the pwned tool overwrites this setting when it first pwns your iphone so any new software releases you can just upgrade to them directly in iTunes.

Any thoughts on this??
