    Just got my 16gigger from the states, unlocked with iLiberty+, took all of 5 minutes, all working perfectly now.

    Had problems ordering from Apple Store with BOI Mastercard but used the other half's MBNA Gold Card and there was no hassle at all.

    Which version of iLiberty+ did un use? I used 1.2.1.78?

    Was your iPhon 1.1.4 OOTB?

    Ah I forgot to upgrage to 1.1.4.....had me woried there for a minute, it was in a BSD Loop, I thought I bricked it!

    All working now on my new O2 speakeasy sim :D

    Good stuff mate! My bro forgot to put in the iPhone headphones (the ones with the little mic on them), can these be bought in any 02 shop here in Dublin does anyone know?

    just watch your credit if you are on 1.14 and speakeasy it might start sending 9011 texts at 25c a pop

    This might be a stupid question..Does an Iphone Unlocked work with Meteor...and then can you only get it on bill pay or what..THANKS

    Yes, unlocked will work with Meteor - both bill-pay and prepay.

    No one knows for sure, some claim that it stops after it has sent about 4-5 euros worth of texts. If you've no need for EDGE then by disabling it you can stop the weird texts, check out BossPrefs in installer.

    Yesterday when I unlocked using iLiberty + I chose the option to install the BSD Subsystem also as well as installer. I can see an icon for Installer but no icon at all for BSD? Anyone had this issue before?

    Also, I installed Summerboard last night and a load of themes. When I go in and select a theme then tap "Restart Springboard" nothing happens, its restarts the springboard but the theme is not applied?

    You don't get any icon for BSD its just there if you go into installer and then uninstall you should see it listed there

    There is a fix for 1.1.3/4 where the themes dont work on summerboard

    Also some of the themes just don't work with newer versions even with the fix

    You may have to Install BSD from the Installer on the iphone. You will find it listed under "Install/All Packages". Select it and then hit the install button on the top right of the screen. Here is an easy link to follow:http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=687.

    Sorry can't help with the springboard issue as I have not yet messed with mine.

    Hi I bought an unlocked 8gb iphone in Boston. While I was over there, the internet settings worked fine because it came with a ''dummy'' AT+T sim. But since I came back to dublin, my wifi wont work. I am on the meteor network. It just comes up and says, you are not subscribed to EDGE and cannot find server etc. Just wondering what I can do? I heard that the iphone has the same net settings as the Nokia N95 so i called meteor and got them to send me the settings. But it still doesnt work. Any advice, really appreciated! thanks!

    Mine didn't stop at 4 or 5 euros, I had to downgrade to 1.1.3 to stop it, I'd lost about 15euro at that stage. I never tried turning off edge though, as I use it quite a bit

    Did you restart the phone, physically switch it off and on again after you installed summerboard, don't think it works unless you do....

    I can't seem to find these questions asked anywhere.

    When you're listening to it as an ipod and you get a text.. does the music pause? If so , does it pause for a second and then play on or pause completely? If its on silent/vibrate does it still pause and beep in the earphones? Is there an app/hack to prevent the music from pausing but to just sound an alert?

    Are there delivery reports?

    Is anyone using smsd with success? Can you get it to replace the original app?

    This is probably best in the hMobiles forum.

    In any case have you checked that data is provisioned for your account? If so you need to get the EDGE settings. Them sending them to your phone won't work. You need to input them manually.

    Are you using EDGE on speakeasy? Its very expensive at 1c a KB! :eek:

    Shame O2 don't have a flat rate for speakeasy.

    Do you have to install a third party app to turn off edge? Cant see it in the network settings...

    Quick question n please don't shoot me...

    I've an iPhone that I got in the states in Jan, it was 1.2 when I got it.. I had it unlocked in Chinatown.. Has been working fine since..

    Anyways, I'm looking to update the firmware... What is the easiest way to do this. All i'm looking for is a link and some basic advice..

    I've no idea if i've to downgrade it or if I can just upgrade it as it is... I've looked around a few sites n just get lost..

    Guys, I'm massively impressed with everyones knowledge here but forgive me because I'm not technically gifted. I am heading to Washington DC next thursday and was thinking of getting an iPhone but on reading all the threads I am wondering would i be making a mistake. Is there anywhere in Dublin that will unlock the phone for me on my return? What specification on the phone should i watch out for when i am buying??

    Seriously though its really easy to do yourself with iLiberty.

    You don't need any particular spec of phone. There are only two types: 8GB and 16GB only difference is storage size.
