I feel a monk on TV and claim for the power to access tibet is not the way of the buddhism practice.

I feel the victims who killed by monks and mad protestors are memorable and I do feel so so so sad. please allow police to be there and I feel should be planty of them at least.

I feel some of westeners knows nothing about tibet's history but talks like an expert.

I feel the olympics shouldn't be viewed politically but it's too late.

I feel people here has ignored 1.3b chinese people's opinion so that such website as anti-cnn.com has been build. a hot post in this forum could easily reach 10000 on the day with more than 500 replies. still growing rapidly.....thank you fair westen media...... you finally learned us to fight back.....but that gonna start a war.... is that what you wanna see?........so peace........
*cough* the propaganda *cough* its killing me *cough*

Tibet has been a part of china while the Romans were killing Scotsmen.
Nonsense. Tibet was never a part of China. In fact they actually conquered a good swathe of China in the distant past. Through the meanderings of history, they were giving tribute to China for a long while, but were always an independent state. Tibet was invaded mostly to keep the public eye of the Chinese away from overthrowing the demented shower in charge of the country.
As for china being oppressive meh! No worse than the US
Great. Well when you get vanished for Googling "democracy" in the US, let us know. Or maybe we can just read the receipt from the bill for the bullet sent to your family.
Minor correction. Unlike the US when China took control of Tibet it abolished Slavery.
And started to move in vast numbers of Han Chinese, replicating the plantations in the north, and making the tibetans minorities in their own country.
I feel the victims who killed by monks and mad protestors are memorable and I do feel so so so sad. please allow police to be there and I feel should be planty of them at least.
Yes, those notoriously violent buddhist monks.
.....but that gonna start a war.... is that what you wanna see?
China would get its arse whipped up and down the map in any conflict with the west. A million man army doesn't do you much good when you've been bombed out of radios.
Take Russia as an example of this.
Yes, good example, a country rapidly sliding back into a dictatorship where the mafia have the same pwer as the government.

Question: How do you burn 1.5 million people out of their homes?
Answer: Call it urban renewal and put an Olympic stadium on it, baby!

I am so tired of these superstitious, jackbooted book burners, trying to build their own internet without blackjack OR hookers.

Undercover in Tibet - China's ethnic cleansing

There is interesting document from Channel 4 (UK). It is inhumane treatment of Tibetan usual commie panda paranoia. So far since occuption by Chinese communist govt in Tibet here simple snippet

    1) Destroying nomadic way of life of Tibetans
    2) Since 2006 railway link to Lhansa paved a great path to main land Chinese encroachment
    3) In main land china there 1 solider per 1400 people where as in Lhansa 1 solider per 20 people
    4) Forced abortion are common according to UN human rights watch in Tibet.
    5) Any religious gathering will attract large solider deployment around Tibet.
    and list goes on.
    6) 1960 6 million population, 2006 still 6 million population.
    7) Prison treatment is worst then ever.

A pure terriorzing entire Tibetan race by commie panda's.

Time to Boycott chinese lead infested toys and cheap clothes as Moral standing.

Ahem... I now live in the US, where the current president LOST the popular vote the first term and still became president, and as of last week had a 28% approval rating. I think we can see that the public's oppinion doesn't really matter unless it's election time.

Right. And China has no problem doing that for a stadium, or to build the Three Rivers Dam. Eventually it will catch up with them. Where I live in the US (Detroit), they did the same thing 50 years ago. The city had 1.8M people and low crime rates. There was one particularly bad area referred to as "Black Bottom" which they buldozed to build a one mile, 8 lane "expresway" (I-375). This forced the poor residents throughout the rest of the city (which at the time was still pretty nice), bringing their crime and other problems with them. Eventually the clash led to riots and the "White Flight," with a population of around 750,000. What do you think of Detroit in 2008?

Obviously we are still here, and the region survived because of a pretty strong industry, but no where near as powerful as it used to be. The same thing will (hopefully) happen in China, and they have enough industry to support themselves, but the government will be too busy with other petty things to really concentrate on suppresstion and their long-term goals.
