    Yeah that is what i used so im kinda stuck here! Have no idea what might have changed, firmware problem maybe?

    can anyone point me to a good ebay seller of unlocked iphones (to work on vodafone)? there's loads but if there's one or two in particular that people here have used i'd be more then happy to give them my custom.
    (note that i don't care about the HDD size since i'm buying it as a phone rather then mp3 player... i've an ipod classic for that :D)

    Apologies if this question has been asked before but does anyone know if the iphone will work with Apple OS X Version 10.3.9? The o2.ie site has a system requirement of 10.4.10 or later but I don't particularly want to have to wedge up for a system upgrade. The latest version of itunes runs fine on my Powerbook.

    well guys

    I am heading to new york in may and going to buy one. Will it be easy to unlock it or will i be waiting for months if apple release 1.1.5. If this does happen, will turbosim always work as a last resort.

    complete noob here so would appreciate any advice

    Ok so now it says no service on the bit that should show the signal. Im really confused about it now! Tried to unlock it a few times now and no joy.......:confused:

    No turbo sim won't always work. It was a glitch in the 1.1.2 baseband that allowed it to work i believe.
    At the min everything is good for unlocking, just keep a check and make sure Apple don't release a new bootloader b4 u go!

    what bootloader is the phone what firmware and baseband are you on

    Did the problem happen after you upgraded or before

    Ok so im on 1.1.4 (4A102) If that helps. It happened before i upgraded everything else on it is fine wifi, ipod, ect...

    I am really willing to pay someone who knows how to fix this, because its really doing my head in.

    ok what was on the phone when you bought it was it 1.1.2 or earlier or later


    What did you use to unlock it what baseband are you on it is in the general about it is the modem firmware

    Ok so the phone 1.1.2, firmware is 04.04.05_G

    Hope to get this working but its not looking good at the min.....:(

    ok so your problem is that you are on 04.04.05 and that cannot be unlocked if you are on a 4.6 bootloader which you are unless you downgraded it


    so you need to downgrade your baseband or your bootloader
    baseband is the safer less likely to end up with a brick option

    Just to clarify.. I'd recommend once logging in, adding the next page to your home screen so as to avoid having to log in each time.

    That'll be the last real update of the app in here anyways as there's a new thread dedicated to it on the main 'Mobiles / PDA' board now.

    Yeah did that straight away

    That is only available to those on 1.1.3 or 1.1.4

    Anyone tried a ziphoned 16GB Iphone with the 3 network here? Friend has cracked his phone and found that his 3 sim won't work, but putting in an O2 or Vodafone sim works no problem.

    Is there something he can do?

    you cant use any iphone on the 3 network, all he can do is change networks

    Im getting a new iPhone today (Parents coming back from the states) and I'm just wondering:

    Yes and No

    Yes you can but Ziphone will also downgrade your bootloader to 3.9 which is risky and there is a possibility that Apple may include a check for bootloader downgrades in a future firmware version but if you are happy to risk it then use ziphone 2.5

    The alternative is to use Independence if you have a MAC or to jailbreak and activate using Ziphone 2.5 and then use Ziphone 2.4 to unlock that will downgrade your baseband which is completely reversible and not dangerous



    My suggestion is you do the alternative

    The Dev team should have there PWNED option out soon which should mean downgrading will not be needed

    Lads, Does locate me on google maps work with 1.1.3 with O2 montly pay sim? Does nada for me and see conflicting messages across the thread. I know I can use the Locate Me app...

    No because your baseband is still on the 1.1.2 baseband ie 04.02.13 which is not compatible with locateme feature without using the locateme app

    Its because you have a 4.6bootloader phone but even on a 3.9 bootloader it doesn't work that great to be honest last week it told me i was in Bosnia

    Ok crap! I took the plunge and decided to try and update my phone & typical of me i think i messed it up.

    I had an already unlocked 1.1.2 phone running with a stealth sim. Here's what i did - connected phone to itunes clicked shift update & installed 1.1.3. Closed itunes & opened ziphone 2.5 and clicked advanced & jailbreak activate & unlock. Let that run & it says it was successful but when i turn on my phone there's no meteor signal. I'm in work so itunes access to the server is blocked could this be an issue?

    What did i do wrong? Any help greatly appreciated

    Oh god please help....

    My phone is totally f!@cked i think.. Its not connected to my computer but there's command screen up saying invalid calibration data in device tree. & the following line keeps coming up BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0.

    What have i done??? Help me fix it please!!!!

    Hi does itunes recognise it

    Can you get it into restore mode

    Have you tried using ziphone to put it into restore mode


    What exactly did you do with it
