Ok I have just restored and unlocked my iPhone again to see if I could install iWorld. It did not work for me until I installed BSD Subsystem ( this is the only package that would download)

I then restarted the iPhone and refreshed Community Sources and iWorld installed fine

dame still doesnt work. Just inststalled BSD subsystem rebooted and then treid to install iworld. Still getting the error message when trying to download Iword ""package dwonload failed"

hi all just on my friends internet here and i have winscp downloaded and i put host name and password into it but do i need the iphone to be connected to wifi to use it as is wont let me in

Hi All

Wanted to give a bit back to the post, have used and abused so much.

It's probably already been posted, but if anyone is still having problems with the +353 part when they update to 1.1.3. IE if someone calls and the number is 0863xxxxxx and they are in the phone as +353 863xxxxxx the the name wont display and vica versa for txt's, solution is:

Basically,
1) add iClarified to your sources on Installer (http://installer.iClarified.com)
2) Refresh sources then under iClarified category you'll see "App Support Patch (1.1.3) 1.0.
3) Install this, then restart you phone.

é Voila - Problem solves.

Now that I've given support.....has ANYONE got Edge working on Meteor? Pretty please advise how you did it?

I don't use edge but have you contacted meteor to make sure that edge is turned on for your sim

I have indeed....after a legnthy "conversation" with their cust service agent, I got cut off...sent a long winded email explaining the situation, that I have the login details etc, I just need the ISP activated on the account, they replied asking for account verification details ie pin, DOB etc, sent them off...now waiting on a reply

I googled it, and saw on another forum that all you had to do was ask them to activate it, and then add the settings and it works, but thats a very small forum, not many people, wanted to see if anyone on here got it working.

Fingers crossed, but really not holding any hope!

I sent them an email last wednesday specifically asking for the email to be directed to the're 'tech support department' and asking that the do not reply with wap settings, etc. I stated that I have all the settings for my end and they just needed to flip the switch on my account.

This morning, i notices when first using the phone that the little E icon appeared right before my wifi connection was detected, so I disabled wifi and I was transfered automatically to Edge. It's working for my now, and it's not as slow as i thought it would be. It's a pity about the Google maps locate me not working on meteor tho. Oh well.

My advise is if you've emailed them give it about 3-5 days. Ensure you are very specific in your email, like give your account details (name, number, pin) and include the details you already have (apn, ua, pw, phone, etc). Just be sure to open with specifying that you want them to forward the email to their tech support team. Good luck.

Install Locateme from the installer and it will work on Meteor not great usually only fixes using one or two cells but can be within a mile of your location

Any opinions on this case?

It looks good.. ideally want a case that doesn't add too much thickness or weight to the iPhone though still protects it. And doesn't change it's appearance too much (silicon case is a no-no). And also protects the screen. Willing to pay up to €40 - there is just so many to choose from.

ok just a quickie question but it seems difficult to find a definitive answer on this one.

I have a US 1.1.2 otb iphone updated to Natetrue's 1.1.3 and am still using my xsim with my vodafone sim. Can I now run the official 1.1.3 update via iTunes (thereby re-locking and de-activating the phone etc I presume) and then run one of the few nice GUI programs to do the software unlock and activation. The Ziphone one (for Mac) seems prettey straightforward.

theres an even newer version out for Mac called iJailbreak 0.5.3 . i used it earlier on today and it worked flawlessly. you have to return your phone to the standard 1.1.3 firmware and then run iJailbreak. it will ask if you want to unlock as well as jailbreak, click unlock and it takes about 3 mins.

It looks pretty good, but I've found that most of these "crystal" cases break in under a month, and sometimes under 2 weeks.

I'm not sure about that one in particular though...

Hi guys,
I have this one http://www.agent18.com/scripts/prodview2.asp?idproductpages=16 and I love it. Adds a wee bit of bulk to the iPhone but **** cool protection. I recently dropped it on a wooden floor and thank fook I had this case on it. Its very easy to take off and clean and the iPhone has a good solid feel to it when its on.

The only gripe I would have is that since using this case I can't use the dock adapter on my iPod Hi-Fi anymore. I now have to slot the iPhone in without any adapter or take off the case off alltogether.

Whenever I try to to download Appsnap nothing happens. Is downloading from jailbreakme.com really the ONLY way? I've tried dozens of times without success.

Where do I go from here? Some of the people who've successfully unlocked phones really need to be a little more helpful.

10.24.59.100 is the vodafone live proxy. But which port do I use, i've tried alot...80,8080,9201 etc but none seem to work. I am currently pay as you go on vodafone.

That is for 1.1.3 not 1.1.1
