Did you just update to 1.1.3

yeh las night, but it's been like that since before. I only remember seeing it for the first day I had my sim (with *sim) installed. after that i haven't seen it. i'm gonna try borrow a differnt sim and try it.

Have you tried putting the edge settings in to the settings page

Also are you sure that there is coverage where you live

The way it is supposed to work is the blue square when you have edge available and the E inside the square when it is connected

That said mine always has the E inside the square even though I have not edge settings entered

If you find out how you got rid of it let me know maybe I can repeat the trick lol

OK, i have another meteor sim (i couldn't get an O2, cos my sis is being a b**** right now). I'm gonna try it, should I disable wifi via services or just the norm.. ah I'll try both..

Is your phone 1.1.2 out of the box what are you using to unlock it ie (dont use anysim)

If you use the unlock app from iclarified you can do the unlock from a jailbroken 1.1.2 or 1.1.3

Just add installer.Iclarified.com to you sources

Then just jailbreak and anysim it and you are done

yeah usually. unless it some sort of interference! i'm gonna be heading out now so I'll try it when I'm around the city centre - should defo have a signal there. I'm on the devteam 1.1.3 upgrade and the new sw unlock.

When I just disable and re-enabled edge via the services tool it popped up a message saying my settings were incorrect and gave me the options of att, t-mobile, etc., or other. I put the meteor settings in, but no luck. I really don't believe there's anything wrong with the phone, but I think it's weird that the E icon hasn't shown its face since day one.

So, I updated to 1.1.3 using devteam jailbreak...
Then installed the unlock.
Then stupidly uninstalled openssh, spent about an hour playing with repositories, and got open ssh reinstalled. Now things are working fine with 1.1.3...

Funny story - I was getting worried that every time I hard reset my iPhone it was going into recovery mode and something was wrong - I was about to restore to 1.1.1, started downloading the FW, then it hit me.. Duuh. The phone is supposed to boot recovery mode when you hold power + home...

Has anybody seen the new Mobile Scrobbler? It rocks! So much better than the last, does almost everything the website can do.

OK , I've done that and its was sucessfull(somewhat) !

I now have version 1.1.1(3A109a) , modem f/w 04.01.13_G , Unlocked .

BUT there is "NO SERVICE " showing in the signal bar and cant make any calls .

UPDATE

I have updated to 1.1.2 and ran jailbreak , But still have the "No Service" problem .

i just 112otb unlocked my phone using the iclarified method and i have to say it was the easiest and most painless and straightforward thing i have done with it yet and that is saying a lot because most of this stuff goes over my head, it really is an unlock for dummies!!!!!!

ps. hardly used stealth sim for sale....

ive had a busy morning and just updated to 1.1.3 using the dev team soft update but when the phone rebooted even though the installer icon was on the spring board, the icon has changed and when i try to open it i just get bounced back to the springboard!! has this happened to anyone else and if so is there a fix?

Make sure the phone is not in airplane mode

Is your wifi working

Look at the settings what is there an ICCD and IEMI number

I had big installer problems but I played around with install, clear Q, install over and over and eventually I got somehere. I reckon the repo may have been down...

I followed this guide http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=611 with my jailbroken 1.1.2 otb iphone but when i add installer.iclarified.com to the sources in installer it refreshes sources, but doesnt come up in the categories list...

Does anyone know, do i have to upgrade to 1.1.3 BEFORE i do the iclarified method, i do want to have the features of 1.1.3 but i thought the iclarified method did this upgrade also through installer... any ideas?

Good morning.

It was mentioned a couple of pages back that it is possible to get Pop3 and IMAP to work over the Live APN, but i cant seem to find out how. Any help? i have just unlocked mine, and now i am stuck. there is a post on the HackinT0sh form (http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6365) which has some info, but even after trying that (Qtel seem to use the same type of IP as vodafone) i am not getting anywhere. requests are timing out... Any ideas? PS: requests are timing out for ALL traffic, including HTTP, not just IMAP or POP3...

Also do people think that the 250 meg option would be enough for checking emails, rss feeds etc?

250 megs is loads. It's what I have and I use it a good bit.

i think that there is a problem using this bundle on the iphone,

re: 3 mobile... from what ive read the 3 sim wont work on the iphone?

from what i can gather in relation to the vodafone 500mb bundle, its mobile internet only. all data goes though the vodafone proxy, which, by the way, i have not managed to get working on the iPhone. internet browsing should work without issue though... If you can setup the proxy...

yes 3 wont work on the iphone. and im only 2 months into my 3 contract... typical!

Anyway not sure which network to go for but that's another days decision. Today i want to upgrade my oob 1.1.2 jailbroken iphone to the 1.1.3 version and then run the software unlock. Still having issues with iclarified version, it shows up in my sources but in Uncategorized and it shows up as Untitled Source, doesnt show up in categories list?? Anyone have any ideas?
