    Right lads , Need your help here .

    My iphone crashed this morning . It was running iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109 which I had upgraded from 1.0.2 .

    I put it in restore mode and did a Virginize on it and then full restore , went through the instructions on HERE , Everything went fine till it came to run anySIM , which fails everytime I run it .

    Any ideas ?

    Lads, is there anywhere on the web where you can find a list of power chargers that are compatible; you know like car chargers and universal chargers

    Right, cool.. I could deal with loosing apps, but loosing all the stored wifi passwords would be a pain, there are about 10 of them which i need to keep. Will have to look further into this one, but I'll do the unlock anyways!

    Hi,

    Anyone got the settings for Gmail POP???

    Also for EDGE for vodafone, do you have to use isp.vodafone.ie or can you use live.vodafone.ie? isp works for me but live doesnt! :(

    ok still getting this error, my installer broke for a while, but got that fixed again. my phone is a 1.0.2otb -> 1.1.1jb -> 1.1.2jb Installed bosstools and checked free space I have 136mb on OS partition after moving Fonts and Ringtones, should i move applications too? I have 15apps installed inc iworld, CS3.4 BSD2, OpenSSH I have 3.5gb free on /var partition

    the script error is getting really annoying now and there doesnt seem to be any solutions on the net?? please help

    Using O2, what can I browse for free and what do I have to pay for using the edge settings with internet as the APN??

    I don't have any of the edge / data packages..

    How did you viginise it ? using ssh or installer? which version of anysim did u you?

    You set up pop in your Gmail account under settings

    Then just go into iphone mail client and put in your email address and password

    You can hack live to work but it doesn't work properly

    You would be better starting with a fresh install or at least removing the apps you do not need to do the update

    For a start once you have run iworld on 1.1.2 you can remove it it serves no purpose keeping it installed

    1.1.3 changes how the iphone deals with apps because Apple never had a procedure for 3rd party apps before 1.1.3 ( its the difference between Natetrues and the Devteams 1.1.3JB)

    Actually the Devteams JB gives you the option to do a restore before installing 1.1.3 and recommends it

    In settings what is your modem firmware presuming it is 1.1 anysim the modem firmware should be 04.01.13G

    Install services from the installer and see if it turned on or toggle it to see if you see it then

    You cant see it when connected to a wifi network I presume you know that anyway

    You do not need settings

    In your gmail account up at the top beside where is has your email address there is a settings button click on that
    then click on the POP forwarding tab

    Then on pop download click enable

    Save settings

    Then go to your iphone click gmail in the mail client

    Enter your email address and your password

    Save and exit

    And your done


    On the live thing I think Cianclarke posted how to do it a couple of weeks back just search for it

    Go to your gmail account, click Settings in the upper right, click Fowarding and POP/IMAP tab, enable it from here. Then go here: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=72454&topic=12810 for POP (see the note for 1.1.3, if you have it) or here for the IMAP procedures: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=77702

    trying to unlock my iphone. have downgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1. in order to do this. it keeps crashing when im trying to unlock it. any idea as to why this is happening. iphone.unlock.no is the website im using to do this.

    thanks for any help you can give!

    Ah Bugger . Spent most of the day , installing , virginising , uninstalling, unlocking , reinstalling , running apptap , reinstalling , but most of all failing .

    Than I notice this . It upgraded to 04.01.08 I think , so that was probably causing conflicts when I reinstalled 1.1.1 and tried to unlock . I am currently running unlock (anySIM) on 1.1.1 .

    HMMMMM , will i chance upgrading to 1.1.2 after todays shennanigans ?:confused:

    hi.. hope this one will help.. restore your phone back to 1.1.1, execute apptappInstaller, then jailbreak it.. on the system install the bsd 2.0, add a source i.unlock.no, you download there the virginizer,, after doing that, restore back to 1.1.1 again you have to jailbreak it again then adding the source i.unlock.no download the anysim to unlock now your iphone..

    hi.. yesterday the realease of a confirmed unlock of the said iphone firmware have finally done..

    hope this will help, cause ive done it myself with 3 ootb 1.1.2 and one 1.1.3 since today...


    1. Downgrade your iPhone to 1.0.2
    2. Jailbreak with AppTapp installer
    3. Install BSD Subsystem and Open SSH
    4. Copy the files gunlock, secpack, ICE04.02.13_G.fls (for ootb1.1.3 Phones us the ICE04.03.13_G.fls file) to /usr/bin in you iphone directory... u can download these files from this site http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/baseband/) if you cant find these files pm me and ill send these files to your email...
    5. Open a SSH connection with PuTTY
    6. Kill CommCenter:
    launchctl
    unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    7. cd /usr/bin/
    8. gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls (for ootb1.1.3 Phones use the ICE04.03.13_G.fls file)
    9. Drink a coffee
    10. Reload CommCenter:
    launchctl
    load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    11. Jailbreak you iPhone to 1.1.2 using OktoPrep

    I was trying to install the 'services' app for my edge problem, and now I have a new problem: anytime I try to install something I get the error 'package download failed: can't connect to host!'

    Anyone know how I can fix this?

    That method is needlessly difficult, a otb 1.1.2/1.1.3 can be unlocked via installer (so you have to jailbreak first). Just google it, the unlock take about 5 minutes.

    just add

    installer.Iclarified.com to the sources and then use the app

    5 minutes and its done

    Try a different source for something might be a problem with the server

    CD, I installed services and edge was set to 'on'. I turned it off and back on again, and I'm still not getting anything. Any other suggestion mate? :(

    Personally I would not bother doing that he would be far better to run OKTOPREP then UPDATE to 1.1.2 then jailbreak and anysim than going to all that bother for a firmware version that is now 2 versions outdated it is a waste of time IMHO
