I'm looking to lose some weight. I've heard weights are better than just Cardio. Pinnacle seems mostly focused on weights, little Cardio. If you want to get a trainer & want quick results, physique as well as weight loss, is Jackie Skellies a good option?

    Hi Glacier,
JS have lots of personal trainers - so from that point of view its a good place to find one. My only suggestion is find one who has gone through what you plan to do. If the dude has lost a lot of weight himself and thats your goal I'd talk to him about what you want.

A friend goes to a PT in JS every month - my mates the sort of guy who works out a lot and does everything he is told to do plus his own additional exercise. He lost a lot of weight and reached his targets.
For him a PT is a great addition to his exercise routines.

Are you currently a member of a gym - is personal trainer selection a factor in which gym you join?

Usually people here post their current stats, diet, exercise routine, goals and what they are willing to do and not to do to reach the goal.

Do you see a personal trainer as someone who is going to keep you honest or to help you get started from scratch?

IMO if you're clueless and don't want to pick up wrong technique or have an unbalanced workout PTs come in handy. Personally with enough research and commons sense you can work most of this out yourself.

Join the same gym as buddy if you can.

    cheers
