    http://limitededitioniphone.com/windows-guide-to-using-winscp-with-iphone/

    You need to download winscp

And have openssh turned on on the phone

You need your ip address which you can get from the phone

    You pop in the ipaddress
In username you type root and the default password is alpine

    then you select SCP

    then login

You get a new box and the right hand side is the files and folders on your phone

Navigate to var in the little box then click on root then library then sms then you will see a file called sms.db

Right click on that and then delete close the connection and reboot the iphone

It up to your self if you think you can

the simpler thing would be to try and update to 1.1.3 its in the installer under official dev team soft update.

But if you can downgrade and upgrade try that

personally i would try the sms.db thing first

I'm up and running now anyways. Going to chance 1.1.3 and see if it's any good. It's pretty easy to upgrade/downgrade anyways. My problem was that I just didn't put the phone into Airplane mode (which really should be said on either the Installer Info or the main page of the program).

let me know how you get on with the 1.1.3 and see if its worth upgrading

I deleted the sms.db file on my iPhone and it seems to have worked. I haven't had an error message since

give it a go, because the iphone creates a brand new sms.db file when you reset it

    :)

Good so far. The only app I used was Books and that's fine. Links on the home screen to sites is handy.

Yup, that's the one. Took about 20 minutes for download and installation. Might be just me or the fresh install of everything but battery seems to be holding up better.

It was inevitable that the memory would get bigger & its likely it will do so again... Has there been any hint of release here (ROI) yet?

So now all they need is 3G and I'll be seriously thinking about getting one.

    K. Looking at this.

I have previous experience of using a Dual Sim Adapter and found battery life was adversely affected. I'm wondering if this contraption would have a simialr effect

It is February and there is still no release date for Ireland. They could release it in Dec '08 for all we know.

    I can't wait anymore. I'm gonna buy a BlackBerry. :(

It might be worth waiting a few days anysim 1.1.3 was leaked last night its not fully working yet but it should I my be a matter of days before a full unlock (for those 3.9 bootloader phones) is available

Using one here with a Nokia 6300 and it works perfect. Phone was on O2 and using a Vodafone sim in it.
    Available here
No difference on battery life, but you must remember the dual sim one you used before is using more power as its powering 2 lines effectively

I got ISP access enabled on my Meteor account, but I'm receiving a "could not activate edge" message when testing with locateme, safari just says it cannot find the server (i.e. no access).

My settings are - APN: isp.mymeteor.ie - PW: my - UN: isp.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

    t.i.a.

Aren't username and password wrong way around? i.e. username is "my" and password is "isp"

If they are the correct way and it was just a typo, perhaps try the sim in an ordinary phone in case they haven't enabled grps on your account correctly
