I can't understand why people would want to play Liverpool or United, just another tough game in a long hard season benefits nobody. Top 4 to get to the semi finals unless drawn against each other. Portsmouth and Boro don't have it really in them to threaten any of the big 4, the teams that could like Spurs, Everton or City have been knocked out.

Understand that PHB, but just want the game so we can get the satisfaction of knocking ye out again ;)

For crying out loud, jesus if we actually manage to win the treble this year, it'll be a greater achievement than last time.

    The following teams
Three of these teams are going to be in the 6th round, Bristol Rovers, Southampton,
Cardiff City, Wolves, Coventry City, West Brom
while one of Arsenal and United won't be. Nuts!

At least it's at home, cause that can make a difference in these games I think.

Can anyone honestly remember the last time we didnt draw a premier league team in the fa cup. Im beginning to seriously think its rigged.

Off to the conspiracy theories forum..........

PHB Its not nuts its the luck of the draw. Thats whats so good about the cup and this year in particular.

    Mike.

    It's 9 premiership teams in a row!
It's nuts in terms of probabilities!

Disaster for Utd and Arsenal with Champions league on the following midweek.

I'm sure we were going to rest players in the 5th round and probably still will...Utd have Lyon a few days later and Asenal have Milan.

It will be worse for both if it needs a replay which it probably will

United V Arse is a great draw to have for this round. Very close to call, but i'd have to give it to Home advantage for this one. Fantastic cup this year though, plenty of twists and turns.

and lots of lower league teams still in the hunt.
wonder how manu and arsenal will approach the game...do they rest players ahead of CL and risk a loss to the enemy or go out to win and risk the CL?
should be very interesting...i hope its a draw!:D

As a Gooner I'd take any home draw. In fact I'd love United at the Emirates.

PHB, you generally post sense, and the above is sensible x 100.

I'm delighted we got a mediocre team at home. If I was a Utd or Arsenal fan I would be p!ssed off with that draw - particularly if it goes to a replay.

I just hope Liverpool and Chelsea draw each other in the quarter finals to even up things.

I can't see Man Utd or Arsenal full strength teams. I think both managers have confidence in their squad players to do a job.
