Only six prem teams, and only two outside the top 4. Now if they all drew each other it could get interesting.

united are due a break in these draws, we always seem to get tough ones. our last 10 games in the fa cup, have been against premiership teams. i have a feeling that 2 of the top teams will be drawn against each other. heres hoping its liverpool v chelsea, they always get easy draws, especially chelsea:D

Its true that United are due a break in tomorrows' draw and with just 5 other Premier League teams left, they should get one. In fact, the odds say that the big four should all avoid each other, with 12 other teams still in the draw. But realistically anyone would settle for a home draw and outside the big 4 I'm sure nobody wants to end up travelling down to Portsmouth especially since they should have their African players back by then.

After Luton and Havant & Waterlooville, Liverpool are due a tough match and like you say, seeing them facing Chelsea or Arsenal would be sweet :)

Are you not happy enough with years of handy CL games?

    Portsmouth are terrible at home!

United always get a stupid run in terms of difficulty, ideal would be a championship side at home an 2 of the big 4 getting each other to knock one out.

Perhaps you get this by being a seeded team and winning your group

who is talking about champions league? did i mention champions league? and while u do mention it, what the f**k are u on about? handy draws for united? we have been knocked out by Milan (2), Madrid (2), porto, leverkusen and bayern in 7 of the last 8 years. now, i may be slightly off here, but i think most of them either won it out, or got to the final the year we played them. so tell me again, how do we get handy draws? also, we got the hardest possible draw we could have got this year.take a look at your own stats mate and above all else, keep your remarks for champions league threads, not fa cup thread.

In one way that is true, Liverpool and Portsmouth are the home draw specialists of the Premier League, both having drawn over half(6) of the home league games they've played this season, but with the big 4 still involved in Europe, they won't want a replay and so being drawn away to Portmouth is a matchup you'd prefer to avoid.

United have gotten some piss easy groups though it's hardly their fault they are seeded every year.

    ;)

Bristol Rovers at the Emirates would be nice.

    Arsenal vs Chelsea
    Manchester United vs Liverpool
    Portsmouth vs Middlesbrough
    Bristol Rovers vs Huddersfield
    Barnsley vs Cardiff City
    Coventry City vs Preston NE
    Sheffield United vs Southampton
    West Brom vs Wolves

    is my ideal draw

last time anyone outside the 'Big 4' was in 1995

hopefully that will change by Bristol Rovers winning it this year :)

I have a feeling Man Utd will get Southampton away and draw with them 1-1. The old bogey team coming back to get them. Also Sheffield United traveling to the Emirates and getting hammered 5-0. Preston to play West Brom away losing 3-1 to them.

I reckon three out of three brilliant predictions on this one :D

    .

In fairness it's hard to avoid crap teams in the later stages, simply becaus ethere arent any, but the group stages is another thing altogether. As above, i was jokinggly refering to handy groups and brought up the cl in a "you cant expect a handy ride in every comp" joking way. Your not on the pitch now, no need to be hoofing people out of it here :D

Anyway, I take it backm a handy draw did you no good in the Carling cup.

Thats awful specific. May as well finish the draw. Actually skip to theend and tell me whether I should bother watchign anymore of the competition. :D

Depends, are you a Chelsea fan? :o:(

Actually should of added that one of the League One teams are bound to have to travel to Stamford Bridge so Shevchenko can score against them.

Sometimes you just get a feeling two teams are going to get drawn together. Sort of like at the semi-final stage when the two big teams are kept apart once again and so meet in the final instead.

I'm hoping we can put them out of both cups at the semi final stage I'm getting to like playing them in the final few weeks of the season. It's a pity we cant organise our league games for late April /early May every year.:)

Dont suppose that stretches to other draws with numbered balls?

As a Gooner I'd take any home draw. In fact I'd love United at the Emirates.

I'd say the way our draws are going this year, we'll get on of the big 4 away.

Coventry at OT a hard draw?

I wouldnt mind us getting Cardiff again so Robbie can have another day out at Anfield. Either them or Chelsea at Anfield

League cup is a competition for United youngsters, so actually Coventry is a relatively tough draw :)

Villa, Spurs and Lyon is pretty ****ty, especially after we got a pretty tough CL group aswell.

Half the people that post here would be banned if there was another match between pool and united so soon.

maybe the last thread could be resurrected and any mnetion of Premiership or league be changed to FA Cup etc...it'll save time anyway, though I'm sure most fans of both live for these threads!

i reckon, i'd have to accept my first banning if we met in the Cup and lost.

we wouldnt lose though, so it dont matter.
